Thus far, pretty much all of the promo materials for the upcoming sequel film The Twilight Saga: New Moon has focused on the burgeoning relationship between protagonist Bella Swan (played by Kristen Stewart) and Jacob Black (played by Taylor Lautner) with Bella‘s true love Edward Cullen (played by Robert Pattinson) pretty much relegated to the sidelines. Today we get to see a new promo poster for the film that puts the love between Bella and Edward front and center … at last:
While the poster may look a bit Harlequin romance, it is among the first promo materials for the film that features Bella and Edward together … without Jacob in the picture. lol.. at rp’s hand comments. i think he is conveying that he is holding her protectively or even possesively rather than just lovingly. but that is meerly a guess but that is what it looks like to me.
So. I was standing in line at the stop and shop this afternoon and what do I see? An issue of OK saying RPatz and KStew are ENGAGED?!?! Please tell me this is some kind of joke… especially after your news that he said he’s never been in love!

@Meggy: the article was actually quoting “sources” on set saying the wouldn’t be surprised if they got engaged.
I’m not sure what look KStew is going for in that pic, but I like that they’re both clutching each other like they can’t survive apart (and Robs makeup looks more neurotic and tortured). Taylor looks cute, and in the bottom one Rob looks perplexed/torn….I get the feeling that shirt/jacket look is how we’ll see him most of the film (for when Bella “sees” him) since thats what alot of the promos have him in. Its also similar (if not the same) to the birthdayoutfit and what he wears when he tells her goodbye which I don’t get, since its not the same day.

@Meggy: yeah, they said that they were engaged on the cover, but if you read the article, its just about how they’re madly in love and in a really serious relationship, and how everyone they knew was saying that they wouldnt be surprised if they got engaged one of these days. it also said that robert was a little jealous of taylor, because taylor and kristen are really close friends, which makes him uncomfortable when he listens to their inside jokes and he doesnt get them.
and…TEAM EDWARD FOREVER!!! even though jacob is muy muy guapo now.
although i wouldnt say no to TEAM EMMETT!!! ;D
Oh I am soooo team Edward, he may be overprotective but I am under his spell….not that Jacob isn’t incredibly hawt, probably hawter than Edward….but there’s something about that Vampire….
@sarah The only reason they were saying they’re engaged was because on the set of eclipse whenever they were looking for each other they would be like ‘Where’s my husband/wife’. The only reason they were doing that is probably because they get ‘engaged’ in eclipse

rp looks like a drag queen in the first poster. and lautner always looks likes he has as much intellect and talent as the hair products he uses.

I’m just glad Rob isn’t gray this time around. I remember the posters for the first film made him, and the rest of the cast that played vamps, gray in tone. Although, I’m not sure the jaundice yellow is better…
