The Stars Come Out For Marc Jacobs Spring 2010
Star struck

Pretty much every celeb in NYC made their way out to attend the Marc Jacobs Spring 2010 fashion show which took place at The Armory here for New York Fashion Week yesterday and then made their way, post haste, to the Hiro Ballroom for the afterparty. Here are a few pics of some of the celebs who attended the event last night:

This is but a smattering of the celebs who packed themselves into the ballroom to celebrate Jacobs‘s newest collection. So … wanna see what all the fuss was about? After the jump, check out a few of the pieces that walked down the runway yesterday for the Marc Jacobs and the Marc by Marc Jacobs Spring 2010 collections …

This Marc Jacobs collection is much more mature/muted than his more colorful Marc by Marc Jacobs show which also showed at The Armory yesterday:

I deffo like the look of this collection over the other one … but, then again, I always respond better to crazy colors like these. There is no question that Marc Jacobs is the rock star of NY Fashion Week … and he doesn’t seem to ever disappoint.

I dont know. May be I am just weird but I dont see the genius behind these outfits. There is may be a total of 3 things here I could actually see someone wearing in public but the rest I’m thinking probably not. But thats just my opinion I know people love this stuff.

  2. LOVE says:

Why don’t you mention Lady GaGa and Madonna?

  3. Mela says:

Oh my goodness Amanda…I feel you! The things I think are cute, I think they’re really cute, but there is just stuff here that I wouldn’t think was doable if Heidi Klum herself put it on and walked the streets. I’m not going to claim to be savy in the world of high fashion though, but I don’t understand the “genius” appeal here either.

  4. Meagan says:

Is there something about Marc Jacobs that compels everyone to wear black to his show?

  5. Mr. Gyllenhaal says:

    What is wrong with Mischa??

  6. Sunji says:

I love them! Trent-have you noticed in other shows if guys pants are going shorter like the length shown here? Or is it just a “Jacobs-thing”?

  7. Lilliah says:

I’ll always maintain that he is the most overrated designer. There are designs which are obviously his- stuff decorated with that silly girl head, mouse shoes, etc- but people wouldn’t proclaim most of it to be amazing if they didn’t *know* he designed it.

  8. CB says:

What? You won’t be wearing a button down shirt beneath your swimsuit-looking hotpants/vest combo?!? LOL! I think my favorite look is the green Dynasty-meets-Little House on the Prairie number.

  9. Those pieces are great! Definitely love the more colorful ones.

  11. Jenn says:

i think the clothes are fun and i like the big bows. now, will i be wearing one to work at my clinic? probably not. but they are still cute.

  12. CHASE says:

Marc Jacobs is talented, yes, but he is highly overrated.

  13. Mariah says:

HAHAHAHA oh my god. Mischa looks a mess. Maybe she should’ve gone to sleep. She looks like she needs a million years worth of it.

  14. ashley says:

I love the blue dress with the flowers on it, it is so cute.

  15. R says:

    Favorite designer.

  16. meh says:

I like his Marc collection better

  17. Jess says:

Mischa Barton has the WORST posture I have ever seen.
For the love of God girl, pull your shoulders back and STOP SLOUCHING.

  18. SF says:

These models look so unhealthy and emaciated!

  19. senko says:

the models look unhealthy? lohan would be a skeleton then. wait. she is…

  20. Brenda says:

And what is the deal with LLO constantly doing the side boob? Her boobs are a little too water balloon-ish to pull off the attractive side boob. She needs to support those things!
