Sarah Jessica Parker Rocks A ‘Carrie Bradshaw’ On Set Of ‘Sex And The City 2’
Filming continued this weekend on the NYC set of Sex and the City 2 and today we get to see a couple photos of Sarah Jessica Parker, who plays Carrie Bradshaw, all dolled up in a dress that is the epitome of everything that Carrie Bradshaw stands for — outrageously, chic style:
Oh yes, SaTC stylist Patricia Field really did a great job resurrecting this hot little number (which, apparently, Carrie wore during season 3 of SaTC). It appears that in this scene being filmed for the sequel film, Carrie is being picked up for a date by Mr. Big … who she married at the end of the Sex and the City Movie. So … the question becomes, why is she still living in her NYC apartment? Unless this scene is a flashback scene (much like the 80’s flashback scene that was filmed earlier this week), it doesn’t make sense that she would keep her apartment after getting married to Big and moving into their amazing penthouse on 5th Ave. I’m sure all questions will be answered when Sex and the City 2 hits theaters in May 2010. Getting back to the point, tho, SJP as Carrie looks fab. I can’t believe how much I love this shizz!

This is a duplicate outfit, she wore it in a previous season, so it must be a flashback, because we KNOW Patty Fields wouldn’t duplicate an ensemble!

definitely a duplicate. i think it’s from the episode where she apologizes to natasha for the affair. could be interesting if we flashback to that time in carrie’s life.

Definitely worn in the Natasha scene. If it’s not exact then it is for sure similar.

I doubt its a flashback, the rest of the outfit (hair, accessories) look completely different from the original scene. Its not true that Pat Fields wont ‘duplicate’ an outfit, she pulled several pieces from the achieves for movie 1. As for the apartment, they never moved into the penthouse, remember? The reason they both met there was to pick up the shoes Carrie had left before the new buyers moved in.

Carrie loves her NYC apartment, so perhaps she is using it as an office.. so she doesn’t have to part with it???

my guess: flashback. She’s flashing back to when she was the other woman because now Big is cheating on her.
(this is all just speculation….)

if its not a flashback, why recycle the dress? we all want to see new fabulous outfits in the movie, it is a movie about sex and the city after all, we dont want to see outfits they used YEARS ago in the series, shame on patricia field.

i dont think they ever moved into the penthouse on 5th–they met up there so carrie could get her shoes on the day that the “new owners” were taking over the lease

I’ve heard rumblings that she and Big split up in this one, so that could be reason she’s at her apartment. I hope not though.

I definitely remember this dress! Though I’m sure, like others ahve said, that they would have matched up the hair/accessories if it were to be a flashback… hmmm.
I still can’t believe they’re already filming SATC2!!!

Hmmm. not the exact same dress. I mean, same dress, but they are two different “copies”. I agree, not a flashback, but maybe referencing that time of her life where she was the other woman and maybe now Big might be cheating on her, or her on Big, have we thought about that??

Her and Big never moved into the apartment on Fifth. They went back to get the shoes because the locks were being changed @ 6p by the new owners.
