Sarah Jessica Parker & Cynthia Nixon Films Scenes For ‘Sex And The City 2’
Here are a few new photos from the NYC set of Sex and the City 2 which went into production earlier this week … as you can see, Cynthia Nixon’s character Miranda Hobbes-Brady is taking her son Brady Hobbes-Brady (played by Joseph Pupo) for a walk and then she meets up with Sarah Jessica Parker’s character and SaTC protagonist Carrie Bradshaw-Preston:
Now, I’m assuming that Carrie is still married to John James Mr. Big Preston in this sequel and, well, little Brady must have the same first and last name now that Miranda and Steve Brady (Hobbes-Brady?) remain married … OY! Whatever the hell is going on and whatever their names are, I’m just glad to see them filming new scenes for the movie!! We’ve yet to see photos of Kristin Davis on set as Charlotte York-Goldenblatt … but I presume she’ll be along shortly … I mean, they can’t not have anal-retentive yet supercute Charlotte in the sequel, can they?

Omg, Brady has grown up so much since the last movies, which is crazy to think about, but they were filming 2 years ago! It’s weird to think he is the same Brady as in many of the original episodes!

I totally didn’t know Cynthia in real life is a lesbian! Not that it matters or anything, it just shocked me. And uh, SJP’s outfit… umm… : )

Actually, she used to be married to a man and has children with him. It wasn’t until the end of SATC that she started seeing the woman she is with now. Not to say she wasn’t a lesbian back then, but yeah, to the world she was straight back when the series started. Someone correct me if I’m wrong.

When Miranda and Steve had Brady he was named Brady Hobbes. Afterwards when Miranda and Steve got married Miranda kept her maiden name because she had just been made partner at her law firm. They did not change Brady’s last name either. He is still Brady Hobbes.

Gabrielle, you are absolutely correct. Miranda kept her name after she was married and Brady didn’t change his. Names don’t have to change with marriage. And Brady’s wouldn’t have automatically changed either.
I don’t know whether we need another movie, but I”ll go and watch it. I really hope Carrie and Big don’t split, he doesn’t have an affaire and none of them are broke as a lot of the rumourmill has the story.

oh man no!! I cannot believe they’re making this! Seriously, I cannot sit through another two hours of “Big, like the jerk he is, screws up and Carrie, like the idiot she is, forgives him.”
