Robert Pattinson Does ‘AnOther Man’ Magazine
Robert Pattinson, Twilight star and world-wide heartthrob du jour, is featured on the cover and in the pages of the new issue of AnOther Man magazine (the magazine that attempts to “speak to the ‘other’ man, a man not being catered to currently by fashion magazines”). Trying to pull off his best “James Dean“, R. Pattz looks and sounds moody in his new coverstory interview. Here is our first look at his AnOther Man coverphoto and a preview of his coverstory interview:
DazedDigital previews issue 9 of AnOther Man out on October 1, which features Robert Pattinson on the cover, shot by Hedi Slimane and styled by Nicola Formichetti. Dave Calhoun speak to the 23-year-old Twilight star about the pressures of fame and the craft of acting: “It’s the hardest thing I’ve ever done in my life” … Here is an excerpt from the Robert Pattinson feature written by Dave Calhoun. Was Pattinson aware of the loyalty of fans of the Twilight books? It looks like the sort of obsessive fandom that can turn into anger and even hatred when an adaptation isn’t to their liking. Did he know what he was letting himself in for? “It’s strange because even though the figures show that the books were successful and sold millions of copies, you couldn’t even buy them in London. I tried a couple of bookshops and they weren’t available. Hardly anyone I knew had read them apart from one girl, a friend of my sister. I had no idea at all. I’d seen Kristen Stewart in Into the Wild and some of the director Catherine Hardwicke’s other films, and that’s all I thought it was, something really small.” His manner is very laid back. He doesn’t sound thrusting or ambitious, more like he’s just going with the flow and enjoying things. Is he going to harness his newfound fame and box-office appeal to approach the kind of filmmakers he wants to work with in the future? He’s not so sure. “Annoyingly, there are so few parts I feel I can add anything to, or that I want to do.” But he knows what he doesn’t need. “I don’t want to be an actor for the sake of it. I don’t find any particular pleasure in being an attention-seeker.”
I dunno if R. Pattz will really be able to craft a serious and successful acting career out of the Twilight movies but he will be insanely rich … so whether or not he achieves the critical acclaim that he say she wants, he’ll have a helluva lotta money to make up for it. I’m not a big fan of the dirty look. I like a man who actually takes a shower… and has muscles, not just tone. Hes kind of scrawny

I’m smitten, with the character, the way he portrays it, and what I’ve seen of him in interviews…he seems absolutely normal and chill.

OH DEAR LORD,
this guy is b-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l. Anyone who thinks he’s ugo must be a jonas brothers fan. I mean, look at the guy. That jawline is amazing. And he is very humble and sweet to top if off. I love him. I’m glad that America has finally got some brains when it comes to this hearthrob. I never got the whole Jesse Mcartney, joes-bros or Zac efron. They’re all butt ugly to me.

He seems like a nice enough guy, but I wouldn’t date somebody that looked like him! I know that seems superficial, but I wouldn’t be interested in the other aspects of his persona if he’s as much of an eyesore as Robert Pattinson. All of the other guys in the cast are MUCH better looking! Too bad we don’t see more pictures of them.

I am not so sure if I like these James Dean-ish photos. So far, those are the only kinds of photo shoots he’s been doing. I’m still waiting to be impressed by his acting skills. But yeah, he’s pretty.

I’m not one of those girls who thinks the jo bros or zak efron are hot. I’m also not judging based on his personality, since I honestly have never really seen any interviews or videos with him. I’m just saying, purely based on looks, that I don’t think he’s all that. He’s not ugly. Just not all he’s made out to be. And certainly not the most beautiful person I’ve ever seen, as Edward is made out to be in Twilight.
That said, he does portray him well.

I think he’s good looking but I’ll be honest, the more I hear him speak, the more I think his allure may rest forever in his characters. You know what I think? I think he’s just one of a million actors who doesn’t really have that much to say, but doesn’t let his publicist feed him all sorts of lines about his dating life and cutesy little stories that make girls swoon. And I kind of like that. I’ve gotta say he does usually come off a little dull in interviews to me.

I don’t think he’s very attractive probably because there was a guy that I knew who was really annoying and looked exactly like Robert Pattinson, at least to me he did with that same nose and forehead.
I guess he’s trying to say he thought Twilight would be a little nothing movie, but surely he couldve researched its popularity in the US, but then I never even heard of it before the movie came out

i think what makes him hot/cute to most people – atleast me – is he’s normal guy hot, not “pretty” hot (like say channing tatum). he kinda has that average guy you’d see on the street hot. plus, his jawline is soo yummo :)

I still can’t decide if I find him attractive or not. Some days I do other days I want to chuck him in the shower with a lot of soap and shampoo. I think a great deal of his attraction comes from his being a character that so many people love, and the other part might be the fact that he’s British.
I can actually think of a couple of guys that are no where near attractive, but are attractive because their European or British.
