TBH, i’m not a Madonna fan. I do hate on her looks, her fashion & old age. I feel she is doing things she shouldn’t be doing at her age and its kinda wrong. But i suppose it’s Madonna. She wouldn’t be successful if she didn’t try & make some controversy. But half of this is only because the tickets are way overpriced, personally.

But Michael Jackson definitely tops the cake with this Trent. I mean, both his tours broke records back in the day and i bet adjusted for inflation, his Bad ot Dangerous tour would break Madonna’s. His THIS IS IT Tour “DEFINITELY” would have topped this. I know it can’t be done, but it is the truth, whether people admit it or not and if we didn’t get to witness it.

I just feel artists like Madonna, U2, Rolling Stones and stuff, over price their tickets so much and then ticket scalping comes in and they do nothing about it. It’s sad & wrong. I know it happens to majority of performers, but its these artists, who draw in the big bucks, that should be stopping it to make it noticed. So i don’t really congratulate Madonna or U2 – who i presume will come close or even break Rolling Stones record.

Well, this is quite impressive! Too bad her tours don’t really help her new album sales, though. ‘Confessions On A Dance Floor’ will be her best album, I think. In my opinion her music creativity has fell out the window and it’s quite sad. I find that she cares more about the money than delivering a great album but that’s just my opinion.

@Kendra: Why, because she has the balls to act like a male megastar her age would, and date a much younger partner? Because male stars have been doing that shiz FOREVER and no one’s taken them to task for it or called them “gross” (unless they were Hugh Hefner ::shudder::).

@Krissy – I totally agree..I really don’t like Madonna anymore, but her work ethic and desire to bring her fans a crazy show are admirable..I still think she’s gross, though.. :)

I haven’t been liking the music that she puts out recently, and I don’t like her exploiting her daughter to make her own act better…But one way in which I think she REALLY outshines other pop stars is in the amount of effort and energy she puts into her shows. She sings live, plays guitar, dances non-stop like her whole heart and soul are in it, and she has for decades. Madonna doesn’t just lazily walk around the stage, she works her booty off trying to entertain the crowd. She doesn’t expect applause, she earns it. Personally, I don’t think it is possible to “try too hard” when you are putting on a live show. She brings it.

And it should be noted that the Rolling Stones grossed that amount touring for two years, 2005-2007. Madonna still rocks and numbers don’t lie! :)
