I really want to go and see ‘Whip It’ it looks like a good movie :)

  2. Krissy says:

The thing that bothers me the most out of this whole “Jon & Kate” thing, is that his post-separation actions seem to make people forget her pre-separation behavior. During the many YEARS of the show she has shown that she is an abusive, spiteful, immature, hate filled woman that doesn’t know how to treat other human beings. Now she is celebrated as some sort of triumphant single mom, when really she is everything that a good Mom should NOT be.

  3. MeG says:

WTF is Whoopi talking about?? It boggles my mind that the overwhelming reaction in Hollywood and the Art Community is just to let this matter go, because “Polanski is so talented”, and the rape happened a couple of decades ago.He has been living it up in Europe since the late 70′s and has had no consequences for his actions thus far… DISGUSTING! Shame on the people saying this issue should be swept under the rug. I don’t know what Whoopi means by “rape-rape” but a grown ass man having sex(vaginal/anal) with a 13 year old kid is a crime! and lets not forget that he got her drunk first and she said she didn’t want to do it. I don’t think these people understand the gravity of the situation, even though it was long ago, rape is rape and he should pay for his crimes.

    @Krissy – my thoughts excatly.

  5. Krissy says:

I agree Meg. I think part of the problem is that he pled guilty so he could get a very small sentence, but then it was documented that the judge was conspiring with the prosecution and said that he was going to throw the book at him and use him as an example. I think if there wasn’t so much documented corruption for that case, people wouldn’t be sticking up for him now. However, at the end of the day, he did commit a crime. Right now, the courts are acknowledging past corruption, but still want him to “plead his case”, so they can punish him appropriately and move on.

  6. nicole says:

someone really needs to sit rihanna down..or get her a stylist…just something.

  7. MeG says:

I don’t buy into the “corruption” excuse, and this isn’t directed at you Krissy, but I don’t understand….he supposidly got these”tips” and decided to flee? Its called an appeal, and thats the thing about the law, we can’t decide when and when not to follow it. I would love to see this story and some joeblow as the defendant to see how many would be standing up for that guy. Good thing opinions don’t mean much in court I guess..

  8. Krissy says:

I think we agree for the most part, MeG. I don’t know a whole lot about the case, so I could be wrong. ;) However, I think since he entered a “guilty” plea, they couldn’t file an appeal. I think something screwy and illegal happened after he entered his plea, and the agreement was altered or something. No matter what, I think our authorities need to make it clear that having “relations” with a teenage girl is NOT appropriate. I feel like ever since the R. Kelly thing went down, our society has really dropped the ball on this issue. No matter how “mature” a girl looks, no matter if she gives her “consent”, it is NOT ok to do this. (just for the record, a minor doesn’t have the legal ability to give consent, that is why I put quotes on it.)

  9. CHASE says:

Britney Spears is the only person worth listening to today… Madonna is old and tired just like her over-exposed hot pocket. Mariah Carey? Eh.

  10. PixiesBassline says:

@Chase: do you think women who are 50 and over should just die or something? You’re ALWAYS commenting on M’s age… and it’s getting old and tired.. lol

  11. CHASE says:

@PixiesBassline: No, I do not think women over 50 should just die. And you’re right, I am always commenting on Madonna’s age all the time because Madonna needs to STOP trying to be YOUNG because she won’t be. Ever again. I mean, she’s parading around in disgusting clothes and her body looks absolutely disgusting. I’m sorry but it’s true. I give her props for still being in terrific shape and selling out tours but she tries hard and it reeks of desperate. Her music also sucks now because she’s collaborating with all these “young things” instead of writing and producing herself which is when her music was good… she’s a follower not and not a leader like she used to be.

  12. Bren says:

Okay, so are they now going to charge people with rape or “rape-rape”?

    Dear Whoopie,
    You have lost your mind.
    Sincerely,
    B

  13. Ella says:

Whoopie Goldberg is an idiot. And anyone standing behind Roman Polanski and offering excuses for what he did should be ashamed of themselves.

  14. Val 2.0 says:

I was kind of hoping Jon and Kate would film a new, even more spiteful show called Jon and Kate Plus Hate.

  15. Lilliah says:

CHASE… Understand this: Women can do whatever the f*** they want and dress however the f*** they want, regardless of how old they are. You might as well learn to deal with it, you immature little boy.
I don’t even like Madonna at all- I never have- but your attitude is ridiculous. Adult women aren’t looking to you for approval, in case you haven’t noticed.

  16. sandbot says:

It’s also frustrating to hear the news reports merely state that Polanski “had sex” with this 13 year old…it makes it sound like there was a possibility it was consensual. She was DRUGGED and raped. Or rape-raped..whatever B.S. label you want to put on it. It was non-consensual. She didn’t have a chance to even say no or fight back since she was unconscious.

  17. CHASE says:

@Lilliah: Wait, only women are allowed to do what they want to do, not men? You mean, when I turn 60 in 4 decades, 10 months, 12 days (you do the math) I won’t be able to jog in booty shorts because I’m a dude? You mean, a women who is 60 can because she’s a women but I can’t ’cause I’m a guy? I thought this world consisted of both female and male? I guess I’m wrong yet again. How embarrassing for me. Today I woke up and my calendar (which is really strict, btw) told me I can only be immature and a little boy since today is Tuesday so you’re entirely correct on that one. Also, please don’t call me immature or a little boy – it hurts my feelings! Those are some harsh, damaging words to someone who is a “little boy” and that makes you a bully and a meanie face just like Kim Cattrall’s character in the movie “Crossroads”! Oh yes, I went there.

  18. Adam Bomb says:

I think I’m the only person who doesn’t think Rihanna’s hair looks bad!

Unrelated note: I was blacklisted at the Red Cross blood drive at work this morning for being a gay male. I had no idea they don’t take blood from gay guys. Upsetting :(

  19. MeG says:

@Adam Bomb, seriously?what did they say to you? I had no idea the Red Cross would turn away donors based on sexual orientation. Ridiculous!

    • @MeG — It’s true … the assumption is that gays have unsafe sex and therefore may provide tainted blood … because we all know that heterosexuals ONLY PRACTICE SAFE SEX AT ALL TIMES and no heterosexuals have HIV.

  20. Jadedkitten says:

Rape rape omfg I wanted and still want to slap the shit out of her for that stupidity.
