Oh My God!!! I am probably the biggest friends fan out there, but I am a bit iffy about this. I really want to be excited about it for the chance to see how the friends ended up but I am scared they will mess it all up.. I guess we’ll have to wait and see. either way, I will be first in line counting down if it does end up with a movie!

As exciting as this would be, I tend to agree with Lisa Kudrow’s sentiments. Sex and the City was a completely different style of show, so it was not such a drastic change in tone to take it from a HBO tv show, to a film. Friends, on the other hand, was a sitcom – which is soooo different in tone, feel, etc. I don’t know if this would really traslate well to the big screen, and if it’s worth it to tamper with the legacy they already left. The characters are too old now too, I don’t know what kind of storyline they could offer that wouldn’t make it seem like “Friends: The Gerriatric Reunion”.

For some reason, I’m really nervous about them doing a movie. This is opening up Friends to a bunch of new people and I’m afraid they’re not going to do the show justice and screw up the Friends legacy with this movie. But I’m sure Sex and the City fans felt the same way and they already have a SECOND movie in the works..
