Ellen DeGeneres Forces Jennifer Aniston To Sing On National Television
Oh man … Ellen DeGeneres sure nailed Jennifer Aniston on national TV today. Jen paid a visit to The Ellen DeGeneres Show to promote her new movie Love Happens and Ellen brought up the matter of Jen’s next film wherein she will sing in the movie. Without missing a beat, Ellen ambushed and FORCED Jen to sing a little bit during her interview on the show. Jen looked and sounded a bit pissed, y’all … but she womaned up and sang a little bit for the audience:

She sang a few lines of Cole Porter’s I’ve Got a Crush on You … not very well, but hey, she was ambushed. I’m sure many people will say, It was staged! She knew she’d be singing! But it really looked to me like she was surprised and not planning to sing … she even confessed to the audience that she was assured that Ellen would not force her to sing like this … but, Jen, at that point you should’ve known it was coming ;) After the jump, check out the clip in full and hear Jennifer Aniston sing for yourselves …
Awww … well, she did a good enough job, I think. I bet Jen really wanted to MURDER Ellen for putting her on the spot like that. For the record, the only reason I even know this Cole Porter song is because it’s the song that Stan Zbornak sang to Dorothy Zbornak on The Golden Girls in that ep when he was sleeping on her floor and was trying to get in bed with her by singing to her (Dorothy had to pretend she was still married to Stan so that her uncle Angelo, who she believed was a priest, wouldn’t know they got a divorce). To be honest, I think Stan sang it better … but Jen did OK ;) Isn’t this clip the best? LOL!!!

It really wasn’t that bad, at least she sounded better then you know, Miley Cryus, when she sings XD But yeah, she did look embarrassed/ slightly annoyed at being forced to sing. But at least she tried to make some humor out of it before she started.

I dont think it was staged, but I think she handled it pretty well…anyone who has ever tried to sing when their nerves kick in can sympathize!

Hmmm…I really think that if there’s anything embarrassing here is the fact that you only know a Cole Porter song because of “The Golden Girls”…

I dunno, I really didn’t think she looked mad at all! If she was, she handled it really well. And Trent, I was expecting the singing to be wayyy worse by the way you made it sound, but it wasn’t too bad!

she started and ended in the same pitch area… she’s not tone deaf… and to sing without any accompaniment and do that- gets a thumbs up from me!
