UGH! Shield thine eyes, Gossip Girl/Ed Westwick fans cuz I’ve got some really bad news for you. It turns out that Mr. Westwick decided to get some new ink added to his body and commissioned TWO new tattoos to be etched into his skin. First up, check out this horrid-looking tattoo of a bird feather (pigeon?) inked onto the back of his left arm:
I mean … wow. I don’t know WTF? got into him to think that this tattoo was a good idea but … yeah … there you have it. BUT, it gets worse. Ed got another fairly large-sized tattoo inked onto the front of his right arm … I suppose I should warn that it is technically NSFW but since it’s a tattoo, it’s not really that explicit. Curious? Oh.My.Gawd. These are THE worst tattoos ever!! Why, Ed? Whyyyyyyyy?? Mark my words, these tattoos are going to be at least 2 of his life’s biggest regrets. Horrrrrrible!!

As someone who is heavily tattooed and has been involved in tattoo culture for many years, looking closely at the feather tattoo shows a lot of beautiful black and grey detail that will probably look quite nice when healed. Plus, it’s quite original. The pin up girl isn’t my taste, but then again, it’s not MY body it’s tattooed on.
All varying dimensions of art won’t necessarily be everyone’s taste, but I would interested to know the reasoning behind both pieces. I go through much thought and consideration when I get tattooed, which often leads to some pretty uniqute designs. Because of that, it seems that I would probably be judged pretty harshly by many of the people on this blog if my tattoos were featured.
I’m assuming many people on here (other than those who have stated as much) don’t have tattoos or don’t really understand how much thought often goes into them (aside from ones featured on funny websites).
The feather has been detailed at the end in such a way that it looks like it’s coming out of his shoulder.
I am not really a fan of tattoos or piercings, but as long as he likes them that’s his choice :P
Oh dear. What was he thinking, indeed. The Gossip Girl makeup people are going to have a nice time trying to cover those up for any short-sleeved scenes ;).

I could get on board with the feather I guess but the pin-up is awful. I hate the placement and is there really a need to state that “she’s a pin-up”? Oh well at least she’s a redhead! I also hate the text that is randomly scattered all over his arm. Does he plan his tats or just go and get whatever? :)

@Ella, Chuck Bass usually is sporting the long sleeve look. And that first episode was filmed a while back. These tats are pretty fresh..
While these tattoos are undeniably hideous, I’m more upset by the lackluster premiere of Gossip Girl last night. I’ve been on board with that show since day one, but I was actually counting down the minutes until it was over last night. Ugh. Am I just going to have to wait for the season 3 premiere of True Blood to watch good TV again?? You have failed me, GG!
