Ed Westwick Gets A Couple Of FUGLY New Tattoos
UGH! Shield thine eyes, Gossip Girl/Ed Westwick fans cuz I’ve got some really bad news for you. It turns out that Mr. Westwick decided to get some new ink added to his body and commissioned TWO new tattoos to be etched into his skin. First up, check out this horrid-looking tattoo of a bird feather (pigeon?) inked onto the back of his left arm:
I mean … wow. I don’t know WTF? got into him to think that this tattoo was a good idea but … yeah … there you have it. BUT, it gets worse. Ed got another fairly large-sized tattoo inked onto the front of his right arm … I suppose I should warn that it is technically NSFW but since it’s a tattoo, it’s not really that explicit. Curious? Oh.My.Gawd. These are THE worst tattoos ever!! Why, Ed? Whyyyyyyyy?? Mark my words, these tattoos are going to be at least 2 of his life’s biggest regrets. Horrrrrrible!!

EW! Tattoo’s, in general, are kind of iffy with me but they can look good when done right. However, in this case, no. What was he thinking?! I think the bare chested girl with her titays hangin’ out really highlight his nose… in a bad way. Of course, it’s the angle but I’m blaming the tattoo. Gross!

Pretty huge seagull feather, yeah the work is nice but it’s rediculously big, and the pin up girl, it’s been over done and ain’t unique like modern pin-up that actualy has class.

personally, I really like his feather tat, maybe it’s just the size and the stiffness of the feather thats a turnoff but all in all I like it…the pin up on the other hand isnt the best choice. I guess not everyone can have super cool star tattoos like you Trent. Hopefully the sarcasm translated well enough… Not like everyone and their mother doesnt have those…sadly, including my boyfriend.

Trent – I doubt that’s a pideon, seagull, etc. feather. It’s color & shape make it more of a crow/raven feather. The significance of which is to ward off evil & bring luck & prosparity.

Coming from a heavily-tattooed girl, I can always appreciate a guy with some good art. Key word GOOD. The Sailor Jerry pinup girl is a classic, but the placement is HEINOUS. And what’s up with “She’s A Pinup Girl”? Clearly he just pulled that out of his ass to add some lettering. The feather is overdone and boring. His tattoo choices really make Grant Cobb (the artist) look bad, and he’s amazing!

As someone who is heavily tattooed and has been involved in tattoo culture for many years, looking closely at the feather tattoo shows a lot of beautiful black and grey detail that will probably look quite nice when healed. Plus, it’s quite original. The pin up girl isn’t my taste, but then again, it’s not MY body it’s tattooed on.
All varying dimensions of art won’t necessarily be everyone’s taste, but I would interested to know the reasoning behind both pieces. I go through much thought and consideration when I get tattooed, which often leads to some pretty uniqute designs. Because of that, it seems that I would probably be judged pretty harshly by many of the people on this blog if my tattoos were featured.
I’m assuming many people on here (other than those who have stated as much) don’t have tattoos or don’t really understand how much thought often goes into them (aside from ones featured on funny websites).

The feather has been detailed at the end in such a way that it looks like it’s coming out of his shoulder.
I am not really a fan of tattoos or piercings, but as long as he likes them that’s his choice :P

While these tattoos are undeniably hideous, I’m more upset by the lackluster premiere of Gossip Girl last night. I’ve been on board with that show since day one, but I was actually counting down the minutes until it was over last night. Ugh.
