Dustin Diamond Has Fallen On Tough Times
While many of the other former castmembers of the 90’s TVs series Saved By The Bell are enjoying relatively happy lives these days (and were invited to participate in the recent People magazine reunion of the cast), it turns out that Dustin Diamond (who played Samuel Screech Powers on SBTB) is not doing so well by comparison. RadarOnline reports that Diamond is being sued for unpaid property taxes and his car has already been repossessed. If you add to that the fact that the guy looks like the living embodiment of the Quagmire character from Family Guy and, well, you’ve got a dude who is in dire straits:
Train wreck actor Dustin Diamond is being sued for more than $21,000 in unpaid property taxes and had his car repossessed, RadarOnline.com learned exclusively. The 32-year-old actor, who found fame playing dorky Samuel “Screech” Powers on the TV hit Saved By The Bell , seems to have hit hard times judging by financial court actions against him. RadarOnline.com discovered that Screech was sued by Ford Motor Credit Company on November 26, 2008, for $544 which resulted in the repossession of his 2005 Ford Expedition. And he hasn’t been saved by the bell from the Department of Revenue in Wisconsin, either. On June 30 of this year Screech was sued by the department for $21,015.62 in unpaid taxes against his property in Port Washington, Wisconsin. He previously had been tagged with a small claim by the Wisconsin Electric Power Company, on March 3, 2009. That was settled. After Saved By The Bell ended in 2000 Diamond appeared in a few reality shows, including The Weakest Link, Celebrity Boxing 2 and Celebrity Fit Club. In 2006 he infamously starred in a porn tape Screeched, aka Saved By The Smell, which showed him engaging in various acts with two women. Diamond – who has also done stints as a stand-up comic – claimed that the tape was leaked as a mistake but his manager conceded that he hoped it might raise his profile.
To be entirely honest, when Diamond’s utterly disgusting sex tape hit the market I lost pretty much all respect for him as a person. But, hearing about his sad financial situation only makes me feel sorry for him. It’s clear he piddled away all the money he made from Saved By The Bell and he completely alienated all of his former castmates who reportedly want to have nothing to do with him (or have him included in any SBTB reunions). One hopes that Diamond will be able to bounce back from his legal woes … so long as he doesn’t leak any further sex tapes to “raise his profile”. Ugh.

After his stint on that VH1 show I totally lost all respect for him. He is an arrogant asshole who doesn’t care about anyone else’s feelings. So therefore, I don’t feel bad for him. Karma will always get you. Change your attitude and you will change your problems.

Sued for $544??? Homie is just plain CHEAP! Or his car wasn’t working anymore and it was cheaper to give up the car than pay it back- sorry I don’t believe he is so hard up that he can’t pay back $544.

trent honey, that’s an insult to Quagmire, lumping him in with this broke ass creep that can’t pay his bills. just messing with ya. but dustin needs a swift kick in the butt and some meds to level out whatever the hell is wrong with him. he’s bitter for no reason and is doing all this nutty stuff, he truly needs help. but he’s screwed over so many people he can forget it. his stand up is a joke and the only people that see it couldn’t get into someone more famous’s set down the hall. yeah karma is a bitch and I hope he sees how low he’s fallen.

I think he is disgusting. I didn’t know he had a sex tape till a bit ago but I lost respect for him before I even found out about it. Seeing him on that Fit Club show made me hate him.

Remember the last time he was threatened with losing his house? He started selling T-Shirts that read something like “Save Screech’s House”. A friend of mine actually thought it’d be funny to have one, and paid the guy $20 for it…but sadly Screech ripped him off and never sent the shirt.

He is the ultimate douche. If he wasn’t such an ass he might actually get some sympathy from Saved by the Bell fans – after all, Screech was arguably one of the most beloved characters on television. Dustin Diamond kind of ruined “Screech” for me. Other child stars have been able to make a decent living in Hollywood as adults, but Dustin shot himself in the foot (several times).
At this point, he needs to accept that he is no longer a celebrity. He needs to give up his house, rent an apartment and find a job. It seems that he is trying to desperately hold on to the life he once had. He is a sad sad version of his former self.

So, his “tell all” book didn’t make him any money? Or, maybe he couldn’t find a publisher interested enough to put it out there? How could anybody feel sorry for this dork? Did you see him on “Celebrity Fit Club”? He was the most horrible person I’ve ever seen on reality television, and there have been some doozies!!
All I can say is . . . the dude deserves what’s happening to him. The worse thing to happen to a “celebrity” is for nobody to care. That’s where this fool is now!!

I’m glad he is getting what he deserves. He is an arrogant jerk. When he was on celebrity fit club he was so mean to the whole cast. I know he wanted to get camera time but he did not have to be such a jerk to the point where cast members were crying. Guess selling t-shirts didn’t work for him maybe he should try a REGULAR job seeing as how his 15 minutes of fame have been expired for MANY MANY years!!
He is getting what he deserves.

Again I will say I donnot feel bad for this cat at all and as Trent had said in his post the other actors who were on the same show seemed to be doing pretty good in the money catagory! He must have just blown it all away! I donnot put anyone down for there looks but this guy is ugly and the inside and outside! I just think Spencer Pratt when I see this jerk.
