Since she had been drinking when she said that about Betty White, was she joking or serious? Because Rue told that story in a public forum, I would think it had been a joke. Especially since Betty is still alive.
I guess it doesn’t matter, because the Golden Girls is probably the only show where I can watch the episodes a zillion times and still find them funny.
I can’t think of a single actress who can make me laugh harder with just a single look or perfect delivery of a line.
I love it when Trent puts Golden Girls stuff on here.

omiGAWD! This would’ve been fun to attend. Trent, there musta been a part of you that wished you were there especially since y’all are in the NYC.
Anyway, I just still don’t get it that Bea and Betty didn’t jive too well with each other. I mean, how could you NOT love Betty White? And How could you NOT love Bea Arthur?
It’s like that whole SJP / Kim Cattrall feud… we see these women we love in these incredible bodies of work that resonate forever with fans, and then it’s just so weird to learn the players can’t stand one another.
Aw well, RIP Bea all the same.
