All formalgahide and other preservatives do is to slow the rotting process down a bit. I have never understood burying of the dead in the ground or in crypts any way. To me it just seems like an absolute waste of land that could be used for other purposes to service the living. The dead are dead and there's nothing that can be done in regards to the living.
