Sarah Jessica Parker Is All Dressed Up On The Set Of ‘Sex And The City 2’

ATTENTION: SPOILER ALERT WARNING
Friday, September 18th, 2009

Here are a couple of cute pics of actress Sarah Jessica Parker all dolled up in a pretty green dress earlier today on the NYC set of the sequel film Sex and the City 2 which has been filming around Manhattan for the past couple of weeks:

Clearly, SJP’s character Carrie Bradshaw is all glammed up for an extra special event … BUT I have two more photos to share that are DEFINITELY MAYBE storyline spoilers for SaTC 2. I will tease that Kim Cattrall features in the next set of photos but YOU DO NOT WANT TO SEE THEM if you don’t want to risk having the SaTC 2 storyline spoiled. Those of you who are too curious not to look, check out the photos after the jump …

Peter Facinelli Hangs Out With Some Werewolves On The Set Of ‘The Twilight Saga: Eclipse’

Glow-in-the-Dark
Friday, September 18th, 2009

Filming continues on the Vancouver, BC set of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse and today we get to see a few photos of Peter Facinelli, the daddy vampire of the Cullen family, hanging out with Chaske Spencer, Alex Meraz, Kiowa Gordon and Bronson Pelletier who make up the werewolf pack that is featured in both Eclipse and New Moon. In case you are unaware, Facinelli is the one who is practically glowing in the dark in these photos:

Since all the wolves are wearing matching robes, methinks they are shooting a shirtless scene and are all covered up in between takes. It’s been a long while since I’ve read Eclipse so I don’t really recall what part of the story this is but … I’m sure it’ll all come together in the end. These are fun pics and all but I think I’d much rather see more pics of Twilight star Kellan Lutz in the gym.

Donatella Versace Does ‘Out’ Magazine

"Get Ouuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut!!!!!"
Friday, September 18th, 2009

Donatella Versace is featured on the cover and in the pages of the new issue of Out magazine. Clearly, Donatella knows who butters her bread (ie. the gays) so she finally decided to grace the cover of Out mag to explain to the world “What it takes to be Donatella Versace”. Here is Donatella’s coverphoto along with the full text of the accompanying press release:

Out’s October issue shines the light on one of the most well-known and admired women in the fashion industry’s history, Donatella Versace. Gracing the cover alongside the new Versace man, Donatella goes on to discuss her take on American fashion, her inspirations and those who parody her seemingly outrageous life. Luckily, being in on the joke is part of her charm. Of Maya Rudolph’s now famous impersonation, Versace laughs, “I talked to her on the phone, Maya. I gave her suggestions on what to do about me.” Inside the issue, Versace articulates her own fashion sense and desire to show-off her sexiness to Out Editor in Chief Aaron Hicklin. “I always have to be sexy because I like to be sexy. Just for myself.” But when asked if there is such a thing as being too sexy, she quickly retorts, “Never, never! You can be too boring, but you can never be too sexy.” In addition to Hicklin’s electric interview with Versace, photographer Alexei Hay introduces us to Versace’s Fall/Winter 2009 Men’s collection, as well as the new Versace man.

I dunno why but I am wholly fascinated by Donatella Versace … but to be honest, I think I like her best when Maya Rudolph portrays her on Saturday Night Live. I imagine the real Donatella is interesting as well … but can’t be nearly as fun as she is portrayed on SNL. Click HERE to read the full Out magazine coverstory interview with Ms. Versace online or pick up a copy of the issue which hits newsstands next week.

Tori Amos Announces The Release Of A Holiday Album Titled ‘Midwinter Graces’

It's beginning to sound a lot like Xmas
Friday, September 18th, 2009

Tori Amos, goddess extraordinaire, has announced on her official website that she will be releasing a holiday album titled Midwinter Graces in November. At meet + greets with fans during this Summer’s Sinful Attraction Tour, Tori let slip the news that she would be releasing an Xmas or Winter Solstice album this year, so I’ve been expecting this announcement. Here is the full text of Tori’s announcement complete with album tracklist:

After nearly two decades writing and recording some of her generation’s most emotionally powerful music, Tori Amos will release her first seasonal album, Midwinter Graces, on November 10 via Universal Republic. A follow up to Tori’s critically acclaimed studio album, Abnormally Attracted to Sin, Midwinter Graces will find Tori reworking and expanding on classic carols as well as developing some of her very own seasonal tracks. Midwinter Graces is an album that has been in the making for the past 40 years. Raised in the Baltimore area under the watchful eye of her Methodist minister father, Tori grew up playing holiday carols at Sunday services and Christmas Day celebrations in her father’s church. These were the songs that gave a young Tori her first taste of music, and now almost 40 years later Tori gets her own chance to reimagine the classics. For Midwinter Graces, Amos has again teamed up with long time collaborators Matt Chamberlain on drums, Jon Evans on bass, and Mac Aladdin on guitars. Tori has enlisted the help of a Big Band and an Orchestra with stunning John Philip Shenale arrangements to create Tori’s new seasonal classics.

After the jump, check out our first look at the album artwork for Tori Amos’s Midwinter Graces and see the album’s full tracklist …

Meeting Jasper George

The TV Guide
Friday, September 18th, 2009

Back in June I shared the news that our dear friends Sashie and Will, who’s wedding we attended in August of 2008, welcomed the birth of their first child — a boy named William Jasper George. Last night, David and I were finally able to meet the little guy at dinner at The Spotted Pig in the West Village. Here are a few photos of us with Jasper and his proud parents Sashie and Will:

Isn’t he the most darling little man you’ve ever seen? Little Jasper is such a good baby … no crying, no fussing … just a lot of staring and fist-making (which is his fave new pastime). Jasper is only 3 months old but he already has an amazingly cute personality … it’s going to be a joy being able to see this little boy grow up. It was lovely seeing Sashie and Will again but we just couldn’t get enough of Jasper :)

Tonight, David and I will be seeing Rock of Ages on Broadway for the second time …

… because this time around, our good friend Tom Lenk is joining the cast!! Tom will be making his Broadway debut tonight and I couldn’t be happier/more proud of him. As if seeing Tom in Rock of Ages wasn’t exciting enough, Kerry Butler (from Xanadu: the Musical) is joining the cast of RoA tonight as well as the lead character Sherrie! My new fave Broadway musical is about to get A HELLUVALOT cooler with the addition of Tom and Kerry. I can’t wait to see the show again … tonight is gonna be fun :)
