Yesterday we saw the first photos of convicted felon Chris Brown, who is serving out a sentence of community service in his home State of Virginia after he plead guilty to physically assaulting his ex-girlfriend Rihanna, working his first day of his 180-day court ordered community service punishment and today we get to see video of the convict actually engaged in his first day of hard labor:

While I wouldn’t mind seeing Brown chained to a ball and chain as he breaks rocks with a sledge hammer, I am OK with seeing him rummaging thru the horse shit and waste of a Virginia police horse stable instead. Jared Leto, sometimes actor/sometimes frontman of 30 Seconds to Mars who has been popping up here on the blog in the past couple of weeks (HERE and HERE), was spotted roaming the streets of NYC yesterday with his leather-clad band of compatriots lookin’ like they were lookin’ for trouble:

Yesterday we saw photos of new dad (again) Joel Madden making his way to his SoCal gym just a week after his second child, Sparrow James Midnight, was born … and today we get to see that Joel made it two for two as he stepped out again sans newborn baby boy but with twin brother Benji Madden:

It’s gotta be tough to leave your newborn baby boy so soon after his birth but I’m sure hanging out with a twin brother lessens the separation anxiety. It’s always great to see the Madden twins together and I’m sure they have a lot to talk about … but I’m already dying for more info about Sparrow James. I imagine that Nicole Richie is resting comfortably and little Harlow Winter Kate is having the time of her life with her new baby brother … the Richie-Maddens are the cutest family ever! I can’t wait to see them all together again.

Rihanna was snapped on the streets of NYC yesterday rockin’ a fluffy hooded vest and a very thin tank top. Unfortch for her, the tank top was also practically sheer which was very obvious when her pierced nipples magically appeared in front of the paparazzi flashbulbs:

Now, in Rihanna’s defense, I suppose it’s entirely possible that she was making her way to the bra store to buy some bras to wear and that is why she wasn’t wearing one in these photos but … I suppose it’s possible that she didn’t think her shirt would disappear after it was hit with, you know, light. Oh No!! Sad news to pass along today … according to US Weekly magazine, the fabled romance betwixt punk pop princess Avril Lavigne and punk pop punk Deryck Whibley has come to an end. The mag reports that the couple, who have been married for 3 years now, are splitsville after she decided to leave him. The couple are dunzo, y’all!

After three years of marriage, Avril Lavigne and Deryck Whibley have split, Us Weekly reports in its latest issue. “She dumped him and told him she was leaving him. She wants to move on,” a source tells the new Us Weekly, adding that Lavigne, 25, forced him out of their $9.5 million, 12,00-square-foot estate in L.A.’s Bel Air. “Divorce papers will be filed any day now.” Whibley, 29, “is crushed,” adds another insider. Lavigne’s rep could not be reached; Whibley’s rep had no comment.

I guess she finally decided to say, See ya l8r, Boi. It’s always sad when a couple breaks up but these two kids got married at a very young age. I’m actually surprised that they stayed together for 3 years. Gone are the days when couples who marry young stay committed to each other for the rest of their lives. Divorce is such an easy option these days, I don’t really believe that these young couples understand the full weight of a marriage commitment. Trust me, I’m not saying that people should stay married if they are no longer in love with one another … but I do think that marriage-happy celebs should seriously consider the bounds of matrimony before the say their I Dos. Ah well … another one bites the dust.

At the start of this month, Madonna released the music video for her new single Celebration which is the first single to be released from her latest greatest hits compilation of the same name. Today we get to check out the second Fan Version of the music video of Celebration which features scenes of a dancing Madge interspersed with scenes of her biggest fans dancing along to the track. Madonna’s eldest child, Lourdes Maria, also appears in the clip (much like she did in the first version of the clip). Here are a few screencaps from the Fan Version of the Celebration music video:

I do love the idea of using real Madonna fans in this music video … it deffo gives the clip much more personality. Seeing all the different Madonna looks is also really fun. Throwing Lourdes in there in Madonna’s old Like a Virgin wedding dress is just too cute … if slightly inappropriate. Yay!! The Spice Girls met up for an impromptu reunion dinner in London, England last night and caused quite a stir with the paparazzi. Smiling and obvs very giddy to be reunited together again, Geri Ginger Spice Halliwell, Melanie Scary Spice Brown, Melanie Sporty Spice Chisholm and Emma Baby Spice Bunton convened at the Palm restaurant in London’s Knightsbridge for dinner and then made their way to a hotel in Mayfair for after-dinner drinks. The entire night was perfect … except for the fact that the 5th Spice, Victoria Posh Spice Beckham, was not included. I wonder if her exclusion was intentional? Here is a lovely photo of the Spices hanging out together last night:

Girl Power was in the air last night as Geri Halliwell led an impromptu Spice Girls reunion in London. Melanie Brown, Melanie Chisholm and Emma Bunton were in high spirits as they joined Ginger Spice over dinner at the Palm restaurant in London’s Knightsbridge before heading to Mayfair Hotel for more refreshments. But there was one noticeable absence from the party – fifth member of the former group, Victoria Beckham. While we presume she did receive an invite to the gathering, Posh Spice apparently found it impossible to fit it into her busy schedule. She is back in Los Angeles after a triumphant visit to New York Fashion Week, where she unveiled her DVB spring/summer 2010 collection. The band certainly didn’t let Victoria’s absence get them down as they giggled and gossiped just like old times. In fact she hasn’t been present at any of their catch ups since their reunion tour in 2007. There were persistent rumours of tension between the group during their string of concerts. But Posh later dismissed the reports, saying: ‘Things get made up all the time. You know, of course we argued. But, you know it’s been great.’

While it is true that Vicki B. was bizzy here in the States this week and simply couldn’t just fly off to London for dinner with her former bandmates, it is also true that she was just recently in London … and if the other Spices really wanted to all reunite with her they could’ve scheduled dinner when she was in town. HMMMMM. It’s hard to swallow that the 4 Spice Girls just randomly decided to get together for dinner last night, just a week or so after VB left town. Considering that Victoria has already made her way to LA, it kinda does seem like this impromptu reunion was scheduled at the perfect time … when VB was on the other side of the planet.
