Jared Leto Bikes His Way Thru Fashion Week

It is, apparently, easy being Green
Wednesday, September 16th, 2009

While Shia LaBeouf was bizzy zooming his way thru the streets of Manhattan on a motorcycle, Jared Leto was quite content to bike his way thru New York Fashion Week on his bicycle. Here are a couple photos of Jared unlocking his bike and then departing the G-Star Fashion Show here in NYC last night cuz that’s just the way he rolls:

I have to say, I love the idea of Jared Leto getting around by bicycle … and while wearing a motorcycle jacket, no less. Homie has been getting around a lot lately. He was just in LA last week for the final Nine Inch Nails concerts and now he’s popping up all over NYC at various NY Fashion Week shows … I guess his bike really comes in handy. I hope we get to see pics of Jared actually riding his bike sometime … I dunno why but that’s a sight I’d really love to see :)

Shia LaBeof Films New Movie On A Crotch Rocket

Back in Black
Wednesday, September 16th, 2009

Principal filming has begun here in NYC on the sequel film Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps which continues the tale of intrigue and greed which began in the film Wall Street released back in 1987. Shia LaBeof stars as Jacob (who will, undoubted, get in over his head as he gets lured to the darkside of Wall Street greed) in this new sequel and he and costar Carey Mulligan were spotted filming scenes for the flick on the streets of Manhattan earlier today … behold:

It looks like the short hiatus that Shia enjoyed after he wrapped his last film is over and he is back in action on this new film. It’s encouraging to see that he has no qualms about shooting action scenes like this, especially considering the injury he suffered to his hand in his car accident back in the Summer of ‘08 will never be repaired. I dunno that I’d be so willing to get back on the horse, or motorcycle as it were, after being injured but … he’s a pro. Truth be told, I had zero interest in the first Wall Street film so I doubt I’ll be seeing part 2 but good for Shia for getting back into the swing of things again. Do we like him in the leather?

Michelle Williams Does ‘Vogue’ Magazine

"Every time I ... miss him and wonder where he's gone, I just look at [Matilda]"
Wednesday, September 16th, 2009

Michelle Williams, actress and mother of the late Heath Ledger’s only child Matilda Rose, is featured on the cover and in the pages of the new issue of Vogue magazine. In her coverstory interview, Michelle talks about the loss of Heath and how she has managed to come to terms with his death in light of her happy relationship with director Spike Jonze. Here is Michelle’s coverphoto for Vogue magazine along with portions of her coverstory interview:

It’s been more than a year since Heath Ledger’s tragic death, and Michelle Williams is still dealing with the loss. “After the first year, the pain is less intense; it’s less immediate,” the actress tells the October issue of Vogue. “But the magical thinking goes away too. And that’s a whole new reckoning.” For some time after the death, Williams, 29, says she didn’t know what her boundaries were in regards to speaking about her former boyfriend, who died of an accidental drug overdose at the age of 28 in January 2008. “I can talk about grief because that’s mine, about single parenting, about trying to balance work and kids,” she said. “But what I don’t have to talk about is what happened between Heath and me in our relationship.” Williams and Ledger, who first met when they filmed “Brokeback Mountain,” had daughter Matilda Rose, now 3, during their three-year relationship. The couple amicably split in August 2007. “‘Brokeback Mountain’ was an unrepeatable moment in time, a very charmed time in my life,” she shared. “I was in love. I was in a movie I was proud to be a part of, and with a beautiful brand-new baby. Everything was good in that moment.” Sadly, the actress’ good times turned dark when Ledger passed. “I was holding it together by a string and a paper clip in the fall and winter,” she reveals. “I didn’t know if I could keep it all together… You console yourself by saying it’s all a deepening process. But it’s wired.” Williams says it is the couple’s daughter that has helped her through the grieving process. “Every time I really miss him and wonder where he’s gone, I just look at her,” she says. Another source of strength – and love – came to the actress last year when she began dating director Spike Jonze. “I thought falling in love again was the only thing that was going to save me from the pain,” she says. “This erroneous idea: It just makes things more complicated.” As for her future, Williams is looking forward to raising Matilda. “I feel hopeful and grateful,” she says. “For a while I thought we had lost everything. It makes you want to love better and live better.”

While I’m happy to hear that Michelle has gotten to a better coping space since Heath’s death, I don’t imagine that the pain of loss will ever be entirely gone. On the positive side, Matilda Rose will be a constant reminder of Heath’s incredible impact on the world and thru her, the best of him will live on. It’s great to see Michelle back in the swing of things … she looks pretty fantastic with this Mia Farrow short hair’do. After the jump, check out a few photos from Michelle’s Vogue magazine photospread …

Ellen DeGeneres Forces Jennifer Aniston To Sing On National Television

"They promised they would not do this to me"
Wednesday, September 16th, 2009

Oh man … Ellen DeGeneres sure nailed Jennifer Aniston on national TV today. Jen paid a visit to The Ellen DeGeneres Show to promote her new movie Love Happens and Ellen brought up the matter of Jen’s next film wherein she will sing in the movie. Without missing a beat, Ellen ambushed and FORCED Jen to sing a little bit during her interview on the show. Jen looked and sounded a bit pissed, y’all … but she womaned up and sang a little bit for the audience:

She sang a few lines of Cole Porter’s I’ve Got a Crush on You … not very well, but hey, she was ambushed. I’m sure many people will say, It was staged! She knew she’d be singing! But it really looked to me like she was surprised and not planning to sing … she even confessed to the audience that she was assured that Ellen would not force her to sing like this … but, Jen, at that point you should’ve known it was coming ;) After the jump, check out the clip in full and hear Jennifer Aniston sing for yourselves …

Convicted FELON Chris Brown Begins Serving His Court-Ordered Punishment

Garbage picker
Wednesday, September 16th, 2009

7 months after he brutally assaulted his ex-girlfriend Rihanna, Chris Brown finally began serving the punishment handed down to him by a Los Angeles judge after he was convicted of said assault earlier this Summer. Here is a photo of felon Chris Brown cleaning the grounds in and around a Virginia police horse stable earlier today:

The State of Virginia isn’t horsing around when it comes to Chris Brown’s debt to society for his assault on Rihanna. Brown, 20, wearing a reflective vest and a red cap, was seen cleaning the grounds in and around a Virginia police horse stable Wednesday, part of his six-month community labor sentence. The singer, who has repeatedly apologized for his crime, Tweeted Wednesday: “On my way to community service.” Brown’s sentence, which amounts to more than 1,400 hours, will also include graffiti removal, washing cars, and cleaning and maintaining other grounds. He will also serve a five-year probation sentence, attend a year of domestic violence classes and pay fines. Plus, he is also forbidden from contacting Rihanna for the next five years.

Even tho, IMHO, this punishment is nowhere near as severe as it should be considering the magnitude of his heinous crime, I hope with all my might that Chris Brown is subjected to as much horse shit as possible in this police horse stable. After the jump, check out a couple more photos of Brown repaying his debt to society …

The Play’s The Thing

The TV Guide
Wednesday, September 16th, 2009

Last night David and I met up with our good friend Lisa for dinner at a place called Klee which turned out to be a pretty fantastic brasserie. While the food was absolutely delicious, it was our time with Lisa that was the real treat of the night. She is truly one of my fave people and we really enjoy spending as much time with her as possible. Because she is always working, we don’t get to see her as much as we’d like … but there was talk of mebbe traveling together in the near future … that would be really fun.

The rest of the night was spent at home, just chillin’. ‘Twas nice. Tonight, I’ll be making my way to the shining lights of Broadway to see Jude Law’s performance of Hamlet:

I am a huge Shakespeare fan so I’m excited to see this production … the fact that Jude Law is starring in it has got me all sorts of excited. I cannot WAIT! I’ve heard many great things about the West End production of the show which just wrapped in London, England so … tonight’s my turn to see it. Previews for the show started this week … so I’ll be one of the lucky few who get to see the show here in NYC in its first week. Woot!! Can’t wait!! I’ll be sure to share my thoughts on the production tomorrow ;)
