Moviegoers who head out to see the new horror film Sorority Row will be able to see the newest movie trailer for The Twilight Saga: New Moon … but all y’all get to see it right here on the blog … for as long as it stays online. Here are a few screencaps from the new movie trailer:

This new clip features a lot more Edward Cullen as opposed to the first movie trailer we saw last month which featured a lot more Jacob Black. This clip also shows off the Volturi more, which may or may not be a good thing ;) After the jump, while you still can, check out the newest trailer for The Twilight Saga: New Moon

Nine Inch Nails ‘Wave Goodbye’ To The Wiltern Theater, LA

The final NIN concert ever
Saturday, September 12th, 2009

On Thursday night, Nine Inch Nails performed their last ever concert at The Wiltern Theater here in Los Angeles, CA in front of a sold out house of family, friends, fans on the last night of the Wave Goodbye Tour. I had the extreme fortune to interview Trent Reznor (which you can watch in full HERE) before Thursday’s final NIN show and then it was time to get down to business …

After the jump, check out a few of the photos that I snapped from the show, see the show’s full setlist and watch video of NIN performing The Day the World Went Away for the last time — ever …

‘A Famine Of Beauty’

The TV Guide
Saturday, September 12th, 2009

It turns out that I caught that nasty illness that has been plaguing folks at the recent Nine Inch Nails concerts (nicknamed the NINfluenza, or the Piggy Flu or the H1N1N Virus) and felt pretty crappy all day long yesterday … basically my ear, nose and throat were bothering me ;( I managed to rally in the evening to meet up with Darion, Josh so that we could all have dinner and see a movie … we decided on The September Issue:

The September Issue is a documentary on the creation of the single most important issue of Vogue magazine of the year … which also focuses on Vogue Editor in Chief Anna Wintour, the single most important person in fashion. Many people have many different opinions on Wintour and this documentary seeks to enlighten those people. I found the movie entirely fascination and wholly entertaining. While Anna is the focus of the movie, Vogue creative director Grace Coddington is the breakaway star. A former model with an eye for beautiful photoshoot styling, Coddington manages to hold her own against Wintour’s brash ruling fist and together work as the perfect team to keep Vogue on top as the most important fashion publication that exists. Vogue Editor at Large Andre Leon Talley is also featured in the doc but he serves as comic relief … the man is just a clown but his belief in his own ferocity is what keeps him relevant … tho still silly. I really loved this movie … it isn’t quite the real life version of The Devil Wears Prada but it’s close. I was most surprised to see Wintour’s relationship with her daughter, who is studying to be a lawyer and has no interest in fashion. Classic!! I loved the movie, I think you will, too.

Today, David and I fly off to NYC for a quick trip. I’m planning to attend the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards tomorrow … as long as I don’t die from my illness. I’m feeling better today so here’s hoping. I have a couple more posts to come and then we’re off. I’ll be comin’ atcha from the East Coast all week long next week!!

*NOTE: People, please read more carefully – I DO NOT have Swine Flu/H1N1. I seem to have caught whatever has been going around at the NIN shows and joked about what folks have been calling it but, to clarify, I don’t have Swine Flu.

Neil Patrick Harris Does ‘Rolling Stone’ Magazine

Neil Patrick Harris – former star of Doogie Howser, M.D., current star of How I Met Your Mother and the newest much-sought-after awards show host – is featured in the new issue of Rolling Stone magazine. Boy Culture, which always has an eye out for hotties in magazines, brings us a hawt scan of NPH’s RS photo which is sure to pique the interests of anyone who is a fan of wet, almost half nekkid dudes … behold:

Of his drama-free coming out as a gay man, NPH had this to say to Rolling Stone magazine:

“I love going to the Playboy Mansion party with my boyfriend. Last year, we got dressed up as dead foppish Brits with topcoats and white contact lenses. These naked girls on Ecstasy kept coming up to us, like, ‘We love your contacts.’ We’d twirl around and say, ‘Well, we like your breasts!’”

Hahahahaha! He’s so fun. I think pretty much everyone became even more enamored of Neil Patrick Harris after witnessing his amazing performance as host of The Tony Awards earlier this year. Now that NPH will be hosting The Emmys, it seems like he is the go-to guy for awards shows (stealing a bit of thunder from Hugh Jackman who also did a great job hosting The Academy Awards this year). I can’t help but still see Doogie when I look at NPH but photos like this go a long way in helping me see him in a new, more grown up light too ;)

Mariah Carey Performs At The Pearl Inside The Palms Hotel & Casino

Showgirl
Saturday, September 12th, 2009

Mariah Carey, who will be dropping her new album Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel at the end of this month, performed her first of a string of concerts at The Pearl theater inside the Palms Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, NV last night. Mimi’s mini-residency in Las Vegas is meant to give her fans, or lambs as she likes to call them, the opportunity to hear her perform new music along with her big hits. Here are a few photos from last night’s performance and some deets from the show:

Mariah’s first show in Las Vegas just recently ended, and it was absolutely amazing! Mariah did an incredible job singing the familiar hits as well as songs from the new album … Below is the show’s set list:

Butterfly intro
Daydream interlude
Shake It Off
Touch My Body
Fly Like A Bird
Make It Happen
Angels Cry
Always Be My Baby
It’s Like That
Subtle Invitation
Trey Lorenz – Rock With You (Michael Jackson Tribute)
Honey
Heartbreaker (Remix + Original)
Close My Eyes
My All
Obsessed
Up Out My Face
I Want To Know What Love Is
We Belong Together

I have yet had the pleasure to see Mariah Carey perform live in concert so I cannot offer a perspective but I understand her performance last night was pretty great. I don’t believe these concerts at The Pearl are meant to be over the top productions, I believe the focus is on the new songs and, of course, her singing. I’m curious to see video from these performances … I really wanna hear Mimi perform live, especially her new stuff. I wouldn’t mind see her making her on stage entrance on that swing thing either ;)
