Here are a few new photos from the NYC set of Sex and the City 2 which went into production earlier this week … as you can see, Cynthia Nixon’s character Miranda Hobbes-Brady is taking her son Brady Hobbes-Brady (played by Joseph Pupo) for a walk and then she meets up with Sarah Jessica Parker’s character and SaTC protagonist Carrie Bradshaw-Preston:

Now, I’m assuming that Carrie is still married to John James Mr. Big Preston in this sequel and, well, little Brady must have the same first and last name now that Miranda and Steve Brady (Hobbes-Brady?) remain married … OY! Whatever the hell is going on and whatever their names are, I’m just glad to see them filming new scenes for the movie!! We’ve yet to see photos of Kristin Davis on set as Charlotte York-Goldenblatt … but I presume she’ll be along shortly … I mean, they can’t not have anal-retentive yet supercute Charlotte in the sequel, can they?

Joseph Gordon-Levitt, star of the Summer flicks G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra and (500) Days of Summer, brought his fine ass to the set of his new film Inception which is currently in production in downtown Los Angeles, CA … behold:

Inception is written and directed by Christopher Nolan and also stars Ellen Page, Cillian Murphy and Leonardo DiCaprio … among others. The cast and director sound great … but clearly, JGL is gonna be the star of the film, I mean … just look at him. Right?

Academy Award-nominated actor, and villainous star of Iron Man 2, Mickey Rourke sure knows how to have a good time. For example, while walking back to his hotel after a late night of gallivanting in London, England last night, he pretended to get arrested when he ran into a nice police officer on his way home:

To be completely honest, it’s hard to tell if Mickey was really just playing around or he confusedly believed he was gettin’ busted … the poor bobby looked a bit confused, too. Ah well, it’s all in a day’s night’s fun, I suppose … well, for Mickey Rourke, that is.

After it was announced that Ryan Gosling’s band Dead Man’s Bones is embarking on a Fall tour in a few weeks, it looks as if rehearsals for the band have jumped into high gear. And speaking of gear, here are photos of Ryan hauling his own band equipment for a DMB rehearsal in SoCal yesterday afternoon:

Firstly, I’m still very excited for this new tour by Dead Man’s Bones but I’m even more excited by the site of Ryan carting his own equipment in the blistering SoCal sun ;) While I’m sure Ryan would have no trouble finding someone to be roadie for him, I think I much prefer seeing him do all the hard work himself … I mean, right?

David’s parents Marla and Mark arrived in SoCal yesterday and we got to spend the entire evening with them showing them our wonderful neighborhood. Because the Nine Inch Nails show at the Henry Fonda Theater was canceled (postponed?) last night, I was able to spend more time with the parentals. We did dinner at Hugo’s and then settled in for some catching up. It’s really great having them here, they are seriously a couple of the coolest people I have the pleasure to know. They’ll be with us thru the weekend so I’m looking forward to spending more time with them.

This afternoon, I’m having all of my hair cut off … I tried to grow it out but I just can’t do it. It’s been driving me crazy for weeks now so I’ve decided to cut it all off.

I’m happy to pass along that Trent Reznor has messaged fans on Twitter that he is “still alive” and will be updating show info soon (click HERE to read the latest message posted to the official Nine Inch Nails Twitter profile) so it looks like the shows at The Wiltern and The EchoPlex on Saturday and Sunday (respectively) are still on. I’m not sure the status of my interview with TR considering his health issues but I’m gonna try and still make it happen if he’s game. Let the weekend commence!!

E!’s Watch with Kristin blog brings us our first look at Hilary Duff in character as Olivia Burke on Gossip Girl. Here is a new promo pic released by The CW that features Hil D. in her debut ep on the show which will air on October 5:

Here she is! Hilary Duff joins the cast of Gossip Girl as movie star Olivia Burke for the Oct. 5 episode titled “Dan de Fleurette,” and we have the exclusive first look at Duff in character on the set! Duff’s character is assigned to be Vanessa’s (Jessica Szohr) roommate at NYU—their dorm room is the setting of the still above—and through Vanessa, Olivia gets to know Dan Humphrey (Penn Badgley). Olivia becomes attracted to Dan, and vica versa. Of course, there’s a twist: Dan is so tuned out to pop culture that he doesn’t realize the girl he’s falling for is a huge movie star famous for her role in a Twilight-esque series of vampire movies. Still, the two college kids manage to make their odd-couple pairing work, and cuteness ensues. Yay!

LOL! Isn’t it amazing that Hilary Duff in character as Olivia Burke looks a lot like Hilary Duff in, well, real life? I’m thinking the fact that the Olivia character is described as “movie star who enrolls at NYU“ will help Hilary’s acting abilities immensely … but, I guess there’s always room for epic failure. I’ll hold off on judgment of her acting skills on GG until I actually see them in action. This is a nice sneak peek tho … hopefully we’ll get to see something more substantial soon.
