Kristen Stewart Soaks Up The Sun On The Set Of ‘The Twilight Saga: Eclipse’

Bad wig firmly in place, no sparkle to be had
Wednesday, September 2nd, 2009

Here are a couple photos of actress Kristen Stewart in full costume as Bella Swan on the Vancouver, BC set of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse last week enjoying some downtime in between scenes … you will note that K. Stew is chillin’ on a lawn chair underneath the shining sun, an act that she never gets to enjoy in the actual movie itself:

I’m not sure why they’re making Kristen wear Taylor Lautner’s old bad wig, couldn’t they afford to get Bella a wig of her own? I dunno why but these photos seems so ridic to me … there is so much angsty drama in the Twilight films that the mere sight of any of the characters just chillin’ in a lawn chair seems … silly. LOL!

Whitney Houston On Track To Debut At #1 With New Album

Robust first day sales put the Diva back on top
Wednesday, September 2nd, 2009

According to hearty sales of Whitney Houston’s new album I Look To You, which went on sale this past Monday August 31 (just in time to make it eligible for Grammy Award contention next year), it looks as if Whitney is going to enjoy the fruits of another #1 album, y’all!!

Whitney Houston’s comeback is complete. Her Arista/RMG album, I Look to You, taking advantage of its Monday release date to be eligible for this year’s Grammys, will debut at #1, with a robust sales figure of 250-275k. That’s based on two-day sales reports from those among our crack group of retail reporters who haven’t yet paved paradise and put up a parking lot. Her second day, Tuesday, which would have been the normal release date, proved every bit as busy as the first. Miley Cyrus’ seven-song Wal-Mart exclusive, The Time of Our Lives, which leaked before street date to the tune of 60k+, debuting at #2 on this week’s chart and foreclosing an expected diva duel, will nevertheless remain the runner-up, with a total between 140-150k for the Hollywood Records release … The market was up 2% vs. last week, down 19% vs. same week last year and still down 15% year to date.

Despite this encouraging news, I’m gonna hold off on extending my official congratulations until the album is actually certified as the #1 album of the week. Still, this is great news for Whitney … all of her hard work is starting to pay off. While she may have sounded a bit shaky on Good Morning America this morning, there is no denying that she is standing firmly on solid ground when it comes to fan devotion.

‘Dollhouse’ Releases A New Echo Promo Photo

On top of the world
Wednesday, September 2nd, 2009

On Monday we learned that iTunes is offering a free download of a preview video for the upcoming second season of Dollhouse and today we get to check out the latest promo pic to be released for the show. Eliza Dushku’s character Echo is featured in this new promo pic, standing high above the city lights, looking out onto the world from a high rise window …

… or is she really trapped behind bullet-proof glass high above the city with no way to make an escape? Considering the world created by Joss Whedon, either scenario is possible. Dollhouse season two premieres in just 3 short weeks on September 25 … will we get more answers or more questions? I can’t wait to find out :)

Somebody Gave Their Baby To Lindsay Lohan

Has the whole world lost its head?
Wednesday, September 2nd, 2009

Whoa … so while shopping in Hollywood yesterday, someone thought it would be a good idea to hand over their baby to Lindsay Lohan to hold for a minute … the good news is that L. Lo didn’t drop the poor thing … the bad news is that emotional scarring takes years to fully develop:

Aww … I keed, I keed. These pics of Lindsay and this cute baby are really cute … despite the sorta deranged look on Lindsay’s face. Let’s just assume she was being overly excitable in order to entertain the baby … er, rather than to scare it. Now, I love me some Lindsay … and I’m sure that she is quite capable of holding a baby without incident but still … I dunno that I’d be so willing to hand over my child to her like this. What do y’all think … would YOU let Lindsay babysit your baby?

Ed Westwick Lookin’ Sharp On The Set Of ‘Gossip Girl’

"Every girl's crazy for a ..."
Wednesday, September 2nd, 2009

Here are a couple photos of Gossip Girl male fashionista Chuck Bass (played by Brit boy Ed Westwick) lookin’ all faboo and shizz on the NYC set of GG this week … Sarah Jessica Parker may be stepping back into Carrie Bradshaw’s fashionable Manolo Blahnik shoes elsewhere in Manhattan these days, but Chuck Bass has been the fierce fashion beyotch in town for years now:

You know Chuck loves his lavender … and I’m really feeling the gangster zoot suit on him … it looks like the upcoming new season of Gossip Girl is gonna be ripe with hot clothes for Chuck to wear. Now that he’s lookin’ to be lip-lockin’ with the dudes, homie’s gotta step up his game. You go, gurl!!

Hallo-WEAK

The TV Guide
Wednesday, September 2nd, 2009

After my plans fell thru last night, Darion and I rallied and decided to catch a movie that we were both kinda interested in seeing and knew that if we didn’t see it together than we prolly wouldn’t've seen it at all … Halloween II. We’ve both heard bad things about it but, well, decided to see it anyways:

Ack, what a mistake that was. Nothing about Rob Zombie’s remake of Halloween II even remotely resembles the much superior original film it is based on. While all the action takes place in the Haddonfield Memorial Hospital in the original film, the hospital scenes in the remake are relegated to a bad dream … and it gets worse from there. The movie is essentially an orgy of outrageous bloody violence with no story to speak of. Ghosts, white horses … bullcrap. Malcolm McDowell reprises his role as Dr. Loomis and makes me lose all respect for him in his film … it’s that bad. I find it very hard to believe that Rob Zombie calls himself a fan of the original Halloween movies and still create these horribly insulting “remakes”. I doubt I’ll ever see a Rob Zombie movie again … having been burned twice now, I think I’ve learned my lesson.

Tonight I’ll be at the first of the last four Nine Inch Nails shows of the Wave Goodbye Tour … tonight’s show is at the Hollywood Palladium:

It’s a bittersweet feeling … on the one hand, I’m excited to see NIN live again but … the shows are quickly coming to an end. Hopefully I’ll see many of you there tonight … and away we go!!
