‘The Hills’ Releases A New Trailer For Season 6

“How can one person turn all our lives upside down?”
Tuesday, September 1st, 2009

At last … it’s here!! The official trailer for the upcoming 6th season of the MTV reality TV series The Hills, the first with Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County alum Kristin Cavallari as protagonist, is upon us! Here are a few screencaps from the new video trailer:

Get ready for drama! Judging by the first official trailer for the new episodes of The Hills, there’s going to be plenty to talk about when the show returns to MTV on Sept. 29. “She’s the girl that’s going to stab us all in the back and she doesn’t care,” Stephanie Pratt says about Kristin Cavallari’s anticipated return. “How can one person turn all our lives upside down?” Here’s how: Lauren Conrad’s Laguna Beach rival also dated Brody Jenner, so his Playboy Playmate girlfriend Jayde may need to watch out. Although Audrina thinks she’s moved on from Justin Bobby, she may not be ready to see him with another girl. And guess what — Kristin also has her eye on Audrina’s ex, who she met at Spencer and Heidi’s wedding. Speaking of … It looks like Heidi has been bitten by the baby bug! In the trailer, she’s hinting that she may be ready to start a family. Are you ready for a little Speidi offspring? Neither is Spencer, so rest easy — for now! Heidi and Spencer are also concerned about her sister Holly, who she says may need to head to rehab. As the trailer wraps with dramatic clips of Kristin stirring up trouble with some fighting words — and a kiss! — the producers of The Hills have a final note about their new star: “The bitch is back.”

WOOOOOOOO! I cannot WAIT!! Wanna see this drama in action? Check out the full trailer after the jump …

Which will air tomorrow morning
Tuesday, September 1st, 2009

Whitney Houston will appear tomorrow morning on Good Morning America performing a song off her new album, I Look To You (which was released yesterday), but was performed and filmed today in NYC. Here are a few pics from Whitney’s performance at Rumsey Playfield in Central Park earlier today and which can be seen in full tomorrow morning on GMA:

Considering how long it’s been since Whitney has performed live on national television, it’s understandable that the powers that be decided to film this performance for editing before it airs “live” on TV. I can’t wait to see/hear how it turns out tomorrow morn … excited?

UPDATE: After the jump, check out video of Whitney Houston performing I’m Every Woman during today’s performance in Central Park

Lindsay Lohan Lookin’ Fabulous By The Pool

Encouraging
Tuesday, September 1st, 2009

Ugh … so, are you lookin’ for new photos to wipe away the horrid memory of seeing Kevin Federline shirtless by the pool? How about these photos of Lindsay Lohan lookin’ utterly faboo at the pool at the Sunset Marquis this week:

Sure they look totally staged and a bit contrived but, she looks good … which is very encouraging, considering the somewhat messy state she’s been seen in in recent weeks. These photos get a thumbs up!

First Look: ‘The Smurfs’ Movie

Ready or not
Tuesday, September 1st, 2009

OY! The day I feared would one day come … has come at last. That beloved cartoon from the 80’s, The Smurfs, is getting a modern CGI make-over for a new movie version of the ‘toon … and here is our first look at what the little guys will look like … behold:

This first image of a CGI Smurf from Sony Pictures Animation’s upcoming Smurfs movie was posted online last night, but we had to take a few more steps to make sure it was the real deal. It turns out that the studio ran the promo image, of which you can find a scan below, in a magazine recently. Opening in theaters on December 17, 2010, the film will be directed by Raja Gosnell. “The Smurfs” were created in 1958 by Belgian cartoonist Pierre Culliford, known throughout the world as Peyo.

Let me be the first to say, BOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! I don’t like it. I much prefer the 2D version of The Smurfs over … this. My inner child is crying out for a return to the original animation. What do y’all think?

Kevin Federline Hits The Pool

I bet the pool wants to hit him back
Tuesday, September 1st, 2009

Holy crap, y’all. Earlier today we saw photos of the Spears ladies enjoying the sun in Miami, FL and I noted that Britney Spears’s boys weren’t around … it turns out that Sean Preston and Jayden James were in the care of their father Kevin Federline and his ladyfriend Victoria Prince who have also mooched their way to Miami as well. Blah … I’m not sure you’re ready for this but … here are pics of a shirtless K-Fat with his sons and chick by a pool of their own:

Ye gods … that’s a big man. You know, we recently learned that Rob Zombie is planning to remake the 1950’s horror film The Blob but he is looking for a more realistically scary blob creature to use in his version of the film … Yeah, I think he need look no further. Yikes!!

Hurray For Cabaret

The TV Guide
Tuesday, September 1st, 2009

Last night David and I met up with our friend Ben to attend a performance by Natalie Joy Johnson (currently touring with Legally Blonde: The Musical) and Our Lady J at the Upright Cabaret at The Vermont in Los Feliz, CA. Ben directed the show, Natalie sang some songs and Lady J accompanied on piano:

It was a marvelously, fabulous night of entertainment. We had a blast!!! I’m not big on cabaret shows but last night was a lot of fun.

Tonight, I’m meeting up with my friend Tony who I’ve enlisted to help me with my upcoming interview with Trent Reznor at the close of the Wave Goodbye Tour later on this week. Things are coming along nicely but I’m still lookin’ for good questions to ask TR about the tour and touring in general. If you have any questions, please email me or post them to me @trentvanegas on Twitter with the hashtag #ninterview. So much to do … woot!
