Yesterday was a bizzy day for me … but since it was my only full day here in Detroit, I had to pack in as much as possible. First, Tracey brought over my beautiful goddaughter Princess Zakiya and her little BFF Toni for an afternoon of shopping and playtime. She turned 4 this past Wednesday so we had some celebratin’ to do. Z will be starting school this Fall (WHICH I STILL CANNOT BELIEVE) so we shopped for school clothes and some toys for both the little ladies. Sarah came with us … here are a few pics:
Afterward, Sarah and I got ready and made our way to downtown Detroit to see Tori Amos play a show at the Detroit Opera House. Last night’s show was the third of her Sinful Attraction Tour that Sarah and I got to see … and Tori did NOT disappoint! She looked and sounded AMAZING:

Of the 3 shows that Sarah and I got to see, this was deffo my fave. Not only did we get to see Tori at home in Detroit but the crowd and the atmosphere really made for a magical night. Tori shows in Detroit are always extra special, she just comes alive here. Here is the full set list from last night’s show:

After the show, Sarah and I met up with Sergio at Bosco in Ferndale for some drinks and convo. It was a night of scintillating conversation, the perfect nightcap on a perfect night.
But, alas, my time in Detroit is practically over … I fly out this afternoon so I’ll be off to the airport shortly. I’ll be comin’ atcha back on the West Side tomorrow morning! I love you Detroit, thank you for a short but very sweet weekend!!!

Wow … going to school this fall… is i started reading ur blog basically around the same time she was born and u started posting pictures of her. Shes grown into such a beautiful little girl! her momma must be so proud! Such a good way to remember my obsession with your blog <3
I saw her in Indy on Friday night and she was AMAZING – I’m glad she kept the dopeness rolling into Detroit! :) Also, am I the only one who was totally blown away by her being pregs?! She told the crowd in Indy that she’s due in 3 months!
@Allison — It is my understanding that Tori is not pregnant and I can’t find any report that she has claimed that she is pregnant. You heard this or read this where?
How can anyone get sick of seeing Tori live? I’m upset that she’s only doing 2 shows in my area!
Tori is so NOT pregnant. Undented even got a response from her people about the rumor and they said that she is not nor does she plan to be. (In short)
BTW Thanks so much for your reporting on T, Trent. She is a truly great artist. No one can even hold a candle to that woman. And I agree, how could you ever get sick of seeing a Tori show??? Plus it’s a different set list every night.
Trent – she patted her belly and said “I’m due in three.” right before she started a tune… and everyone cheered. I don’t know if she was joking, but she sounded pretty serious about it.

It was bizarre… but, it’s entirely possible that she heard the rumors and decided to make a public joke about it. I hadn’t heard or read anything claiming that she was, so as soon as I saw her I said to my friend, “Oh my GOD! Is she pregnant!? She can’t be! I didn’t see anything about it on PITNB – and he knows everything!” :)
