After much delay it looks like Universal Pictures is finally ready to promote the release of the remake of the classic horror film The Wolf Man because today we get to feast our eyes on a new batch of promo stills from the movie which is now scheduled for release in theaters early next year. You may recall that we got our first look at The Wolf Man back in May of 2008 but, for various reasons, the film had to be pushed back from its original late ’08 and then ’09 release dates. But we can now look to February 12, 2010 for the release of The Wolf Man starring Benicio Del Toro, Anthony Hopkins, Hugo Weaving, Emily Blunt and more:

Access Hollywood aired a short 10 second preview clip of the first trailer released from the film (which can be watched HERE) and reports that the full trailer will debut online today. While we wait for the release of that video, we can feast our eyes on the first batch of promo movie stills released from the flick. After the jump, check ‘em out …

I understand the movie has been plagued with reshoots, etc. and the film’s release date kept getting pushed back in order for the movie studio to be happy with the final product. I do hope all the delay works out for the best because I’m a big fan of classic horror monsters and the Wolf Man is right up there with Dracula and Frankenstein for me. Benicio Del Toro rarely goes wrong so I’m confident this movie will be cool. These promo stills look sweet … now I really wanna see the full movie trailer.
