Hold the phone, y’all!! Could it be that the reason that former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin decided to quit her job and step down as governor before she even completed one full term in office is because she and hubby Todd Palin are getting divorced?! A new report going around today claims that the couple are headed for splitsville and that there have been extramarital affairs on both sides! Honestly, it makes sense that Palin would want to resign her governorship before announcing to the world that she is divorcing the former “First Dude” of Alaska. Could it really be? Could the Palins really be dunzo?!

AlaskaReport has learned this morning that Todd Palin and former Alaska governor Sarah Palin are to divorce. Multiple sources in Wasilla and Anchorage have confirmed the news. A National Enquirer story exposing previous affairs on both sides led to a deterioration of their marriage and the stress from that led to Palin’s resignation as governor of Alaska. The Palins were noticeably not speaking to each other at last Sunday’s resignation speech in Fairbanks. Sarah ditched Todd right after the speech and left without him. Sarah removed her wedding ring a couple of weeks ago. Sarah has recently purchased land in Montana and is considering moving the family there. Sarah Palin is originally from Idaho. Todd Palin told Fox News last week that he was heading back to his job in the oil fields of Alaska, yet Sarah recently signed a book deal reportedly worth $11 million. Breaking story, we’ll post more when we get it….
Editor’s note: AlaskaReport was the first website to report that Sarah Palin was running for governor of Alaska and the first website to report that Sarah was picked as John McCain’s VP candidate.
Click HERE to read the MSNBC report on how Sarah ditched Todd after her speech last weekend. Wowzers!! It’s amazing how those who purport to be in the “moral majority” are the ones with the most “immoral” sins hiding in the closet. First it was unplanned teenage pregnancy and now divorce … I mean, these sins alone make the Palins sound like human beings and not the flawless bastions of Christian perfection they like to claim they are. At this point, I’m not sure if I totally believe this divorce report but, really, would it be all that shocking if it turns out to be true?
UPDATE: A spokesperson for Sarah Palin has posted an official statement on her official Facebook page to deny this report of the Palin divorce:
Yet again, some so-called journalists have decided to make up a story. There is no truth to the recent “story” (and story is the correct term for this type of fiction) that the Palins are divorcing. The Palins remain married, committed to each other and their family, and have not purchased land in Montana (last week it was reported to be Long Island). Less than one week ago, Governor Palin asked the media to “quit making things up.” We appreciate that the more professional journalists decided to question this story before repeating it.
HMMM … I dunno … where there’s smoke, there’s usually fire … especially when it comes to politicians. I’m very curious to see where these allegations go from here. I bet it would make for a great BOOK deal ;)

This couldn’t happen to a nicer couple. She is trying to deny gays and lesbians the right to get married, and she is getting some on the side. What a hypocrite, but is this really a surprise to anyone. She is all flash, and no substance.
She doesn’t need to be called on the carpet for her behavior, she needs to be dragged on it.
OH YES!! I knew it had to be something that would cause a scandal and then possibly cause her to be disgraced as the “current” governor. If she were currently Alaska’s gov, then the scandal would be horrible……..especially if she has been cheating (him too, but he isn’t the gov)……..oh she is such a yucky yucky person!
its amazing how some people can be such hypocrites, isnt it? this woman needs to be chucked out of the limelight, pronto!
hahaha… give new meaning to the question… who’s nalin’ palin?
@aimie — “who’s nalin’ palin?” apparently not Todd’s rod.
I really dislike that woman.
I can’t stand all this political stuff you keep putting on here. I know it’s your site but I come here looking for celeb gossip, not a lecture on morals and hypocrisy. Won’t be visiting anymore.
Wow…what a hypocrite…I’m so sick of politicians preaching morals, etc. yet NONE practice what they preach!
Amy,
Sounds like you may need a lesson on morals if you support Palin, or her brand of thinking.
Sad if this is true, especially for their young kids. Just about a year ago, she was made the Republican VP nominee and tons of conservatives thought she was amazing (for maybe a month or two). What a difference a year makes….
i feel bad for Montana…
@morgan — “i feel bad for Montana…” LOL!
Maybe she is gay!
Hey.. a girl can dream ;)
@Amy – You don’t have to read every article Trent posts. For instance, there are a few celebrities I’m not interested in reading goss on, so I skip those articles and move on to the next. It doesn’t have to be all or nothing.
I don’t get why people don’t just skip the political stuff. You don’t have to read everything that’s on the site. You can tell by the headline that it’s about politics. Just skip to the next story if u don’t like politics. Is that so hard to do?
As for the Palins… Sarah should give Mel Gibson a call – they can talk about how to make Christians look bad. I guess we have to wait for a confirmation, but this story makes a lot of sense. Her holier-than-thou demeanor really irritates me. They don’t seem to understand that it’s okay to be religious, intelligent and open-minded at the same time– these things don’t have to be mutually exclusive.
@Trent
This made me laugh: @aimie — “who’s nalin’ palin?” apparently not Todd’s rod.
Wow I think that is quit shocking for real it just came out of no-where!! Than again so did her quitting office but I imagine if they both were having affairs,she would have alot to explain to her public!!
Thank you Trent, you made my day! I hadn’t seen this report yet. I feel a little mean to be so happy about, but it couldn’t have happened to a better sanctimonious moron. Ahhhh, to think that maybe we will be spared from further faux folksy statements from her (contented sigh). I’m happily e-mailing and tweeting my friends to share the good news. Ding dong, the witch is dead…
amy- its ok not to like everything on the site. skip around. we all do it.
This news makes me really happy. Wonder if she did John McCain? It would certainly explain a lot:)
@aimie — “who’s nalin’ palin?” apparently not Todd’s rod.
LOL!!!!! love it!
Amy must be a Palin supporter.
Sarah Palin is so disgusting. I can’t stand her.
