Sarah Jessica Parker Gets A Little ‘Help’ From Her Book
Book Club
Sarah Jessica Parker, who became a new mommy to twin girls born from a surrogate mother earlier this Summer, was spotted in NYC in possession of a book called The Help. At first, I thought it might be a tome to help new moms learn how to deal with raising twin babies but it turns out that The Help is actually a novel which, according to a review by Entertainment Weekly, sounds like a pretty amazing read:

It’s nice to see that SJP has time to even read a book now that she’s got 3 children to care for. Her nanny, on the other hand, prolly doesn’t have time to sleep let along read a book.

The audiobook of The Help was probably the best I’ve ever listened to. AMAZING story, great listen.
why do celebrities feel the need to carry their books NOT in their bags with the front cover on display to the paps? it really amuses me and sometimes makes me wonder the motive behind having the book – are they really readiung it or do they want people to think so?
sjp looks stunning as per usual!
She looks great, and also a little Madonna-y
Totally agree with JamieDC – I also listened to The Help (to and from work) and it was one of the best books I’ve ever read/listened to!!!
@leanne – I dunno. Whenever I go to the book store I reject a bag and just carry it out with me. But I can see your point about women putting it in their bags but maybe they don’t want it to get smashed in their bag or something? Who knows.
Trent, when i had a baby i would read when i couldn’t sleep because of the constant waking of my baby. i started reading twilight while i had a newborn. i’m not trying to defend her (because she probably does have a nanny) just offering another perspective.
this book is wonderful!
Maybe the celebs are trying both to cover their face and also to promote their book.
@Momo- me too!! my son was born 13 Months ago and thats when i started reading Twilight. I never slept so i read books lol
Totally love her for reading this book.
@Court @Momo I, too, read a lot when my daughter was first born…but I only had 1 baby not 2 and I didn’t have an older child to take care of.
Fantastic book!
Same here ladies, I read “the baby whisperer” while rocking my collicky bambino. I learned a lot from it.
INCREDIBLE book, a definite must read…
I am so interested in this book now! If someone that has read this book could give a quick review on this book that be really cool…….SJP looks great than again she always does.
I’ve read “The Help” and LOVED it. It’s an incredible, eye-opening book–and a page-turner! Like others have said, the audiobook is just fantastic. I definitely recommend it!
I love you for that nanny comment. So funny.
Her hands scare me.
