Mischa Barton’s ‘Beautiful Life’
... is startin' to look less beautiful

Here are new photos of Mischa Barton lookin’, well, odd on the NYC set of her new TV series The Beautiful Life which, in all honesty, doesn’t look all that beautiful at all:

Mischa has been in NYC ever since she was released from the psychiatric hospital here in SoCal and she’s been pretty much making the most of her new freedom. I believe these photos are of her first actual work on the TV show. I dunno, I still do not think she should be throwing herself into a new project so soon after her mental breakdown, and these photos don’t help, but she is a big girl and I guess she’s gonna do what she’s gonna do. I guess it would be easier to believe that she’s no longer crazy if she didn’t, well, look crazy.

there’s always a sort of lost look in her eyes these days. kind of sad.

  4. Andrea says:

…I really don’t see why you think she looks so bad, Trent. I like she looks kinda healthy actually.

    Dead behind the eyes.

  8. Mr. Gyllenhaal says:

She is nasty…sorry!! She looks like LLO in they eyes…

  9. jo says:

She looks fine, she’s playing a model pill-popper and is on set and ready to act.

Meh, we have seen a lot worse from young Hollywood Starlets. Yes it may have been a better idea to take some down time after the hospitalization, but if she wants to stay current she has to suck it up and start this new show.I think It’s a good thing that she is trying to pull herself together and save her career. Time will tell I guess.

The makeup is not the best for her but she is not that thin and she is looking better

@Andrea – you totally nailed it on the hammer.

I’ve seen some videos of her a while ago that she posted on her website. She looked much better back then. But I’m glad to see she’s back to work.

I always feel like these candid shots of people are a not fair representation of what is actually going on with them. To say she looks crazy is kind of unfair when clearly she’s in the middle of a conversation and the photog caught her with her mouth open. It’s the same when you see the ones of celebs walking out of a club with a thousand flashbulbs in their face and they close their eyes and all of a sudden they are a drunken train wreck.
Don’t get me wrong I’m not saying that she’s not a mess, or that some of those celebs are drunken train wrecks, but sometimes these pictures need to be taken with a grain of salt.

i dont think she looks bad at all.

  16. Jill says:

like my momma always said, ‘crazy is as crazy does’. That’s all I have to say about that.

  17. manscaper says:

I don’t get the issue here, she looks happy / silly in the first…and as others pointed out these are candids of her on-set not really the best representation of her as a whole

  18. Alex says:

WTF i agree with MANSCAPER i don’t see the problem either she looks great to me. This is one of the problems of our society we try to perfect every little fucking thing, we just notice flaws in people and dont take them for who they are.

So is ‘A Beautiful Life’ a drama or a reality show, cause lets face it, Mischa playing a drugged out ex-somebody isn’t exactly stretching her ‘acting’ talents.

I hope the negative comments calling her crazy don’t get back to her. Coming back from a mental exhaustion is hard work and negative comments like that are gonna sting. I’ve been depressed before, nothing close at all to what she’s gone through but even still, negative comments from ignorant family members hurt. I hope she feels great and does well. I think that stars are fair game and all but when they’ve been mentally unwell or grieving they should alone.
