Just to clarify why this album is coming out, when she signed her new deal with LiveNation, she still had 2 contractually obligated releases to fullfill with Warner Brothers. One was for a studio album; thus "Hard Candy", the other was for a hits album. This is a double disc that includes 34 singles from her entire career and not just the singles from the three (not two) studio albums since her last hits album. Though I love her more recent work, particularly American Life, a hits album that covered that album , Confessions and Candy would not have been much of a seller as the singles from those records, aside from Hung Up and 4 minutes, didn't perform well. Hopefully someday we will get a multi-disc box set that really is a reflection of her amazing career. Regarding Jay’s comments…
