True Blood is really pissing me off. I am so sick of the stupid Maenad and all of her stupid bullshit. I mean, how many times can you ruin people’s lives and laugh about it until it gets old? The writers emphasized on her character too much during this whole season. Anna Paquin’s acting is getting worse if that’s possible. The orgies and everything else is getting tiring not to mention silly. There hasn’t been a single episode where it’s actually satisfying (to me, at least). I just hope they kill the Maenad a.k.a. Maryann and it’ll be overrrrr. Tara is also getting on my nerves. Homegirl does not need to have that much screen time… her demons are annoying and so is she. Pass!

Though I do agree the story with Maenad has lacked progression, this season has kept my attention. I’m haven’t been bored with anything as much as anyone else seems to have mentioned.

while it may not be perfect, I agree with Janelle, I have not been bored with the entire season at all. I think people just have their expectations too high. Alan Ball never said this was an episodic show where you are going to have different monsters each episode, the entire season are long story arcs which progress over the entire season which is only 12 episodes and they haven’t done anything so over the top that Buffy and Angel didn’t do. Buffy had egg monsters and fast food demons and ridiculous stuff. I think you are being too picky, Chase, you are focusing on one aspect of the show when the point of the show is the interaction between the characters. If you want epic fights and battles, read a comic book. The tension and sensuality between Eric and Sookie is hot. So you can blow me lol

Agreed, I really loved the first season of True Blood, but it is becoming a bit depressing and boring. The Maryann story is old etc

LOVE season 2 of True Blood! Jason Stackhouse’s line last night about how Bon Temps may be full of assholes and rednecks BUT AT LEAST WE’RE AMERICANS! made me laugh. He’s such a dingbat. It’s been so fun this season! And thank ye gods that Eric got all that stupid long hair cut off last month.

@ Danny – Actually, the epic battles and fights are IN the Sookie Stackhouse book series which is what True Blood is based on. Yes, I’ve read them all and I can differentiate between the book series and the TV show. However, they’ve cut out a lot of action and focused more on sappy romance Lifetime shit between Bill and Sookie which gets old real fast. I don’t expect “monsters” to be introduced in each episode but maybe some character interaction would be nice, no? They’re ignoring all of the likable characters in exchange for the bad/annoying characters no one cares for.The Fellowship of the Sun got old and Maryann has been nonstop in the series. It’s annoying. And the whole eating the heart thing? Um, what purpose did that hold? In my opinion it was irrelevant and disgusting. They drag everything out so excessively you barely see any resolution between any of the characters due to the cliff hanging episodes… so you can blow me and swallow. KTHANX
