Jennifer Lopez Does ‘In Style’ Magazine
La Diva Latina graces the cover of the 15th Anniversary issue

Jennifer Lopez is featured on the cover and in the pages of the new issue of In Style magazine, which is celebrating its 15th Anniversary in September. J. Lo is lookin’ her fabulous best for the mag, as usual. Click HERE to check out a few photos from her In Style photospread and read below for some info about her appearance in the mag:

Jennifer Lopez is showing everyone what 40 and fabulous looks like in the September issue of InStyle. The dancer/singer/actress/designer/mom graces the magazine’s 15th Anniversary Issue’s cover in a cutting-edge, sculpted Jil Sander dress and Hermès spiked cuffs, all in a sophisticated black and white palette (minus her bright cherry red lips). Inside, the black-and-white theme continues as the mother of two smolders in classic JLo style — thigh-high Christian Louboutin leather boots paired with a puffy-sleeve Louis Vuitton dress and Marc Jacobs bracelets, and later in a body-hugging hooded sweater by ALC, the label of Lopez’ ace stylist Andrea Lieberman. As seen in the shoot’s exclusive behind-the-scenes video, despite a short hiatus after having twins, Lopez still knows how to pose like a pro, working it in floor length gowns by Versace Atelier, Givenchy, and Nina Ricci, as well as a Herve Leger cut-out dress that proves Lopez isn’t packing an ounce of baby weight. “She knows how to play for the camera,” says photographer Michelangelo Di Battista of Lopez. “It makes my job easy.

It’s crazy, J. Lo never seems to age! She still looks as fabulous as ever. While I realize that a lot of her perfection in this photospread (as well as pretty much all photospreads in all magazines) is due to the adept use of Photoshop, you cannot deny that Jenny from the Block is still lookin’ amazing these days. In Style chose well when they selected her for the cover of their 15th Anniversary issue. After the jump, check out a short behind the scenes 60 Seconds of Style video from her photoshoot and a few excerpts from her coverstory interview…

On Her Non-Diva Demands:
“I don’t want everything to be white. There was this rumor that I needed white flowers and white linens wherever I went: ‘Everything has to be white or she won’t go in the room!’ That’s not true.”

On Her Favorite Styles:
“I still slip into different styles very easily. I can be a little bit hip-hop in sweatpants and sneakers and a baseball hat. Or I can put on a head wrap and get kind of bohemian with glasses and a caftan. I can dress conservative ’60s glamour, or I can go supermodern chic … I love all different kinds of things. I’m open. I think that’s what makes it exciting to people. They don’t know what I’m going to do next. Honestly, I don’t know half the time.”

On Marriage:
“I’m still figuring it out as I go along. How do two totally different people come together and make one life and say they’ll do it forever and ever? I mean, I’ve tried it. This is my third time. I don’t even think I tried in my other marriages, which was immature and not knowing better. It’s been a lot of hard experiences and a lot of ups and downs and a lot of mistakes. I believe that in life you learn through experience. I’m old enough to know now that relationships take work. That it’s not an easy thing.”

On Parenthood:
“It totally changes your perspective on everything. There’s nothing as huge as giving birth to another human being and having to be responsible for another life. There’s you before kids, and there’s you after kids — and they’re not the same you. You don’t come first anymore. There’s somebody else you care more about than yourself.”

On Her Upcoming Movie, “The Back-Up Plan”:
“I love watching romantic comedies, including the worst ones. It probably says a lot about me and who I am, but I love a fairy-tale ending. I knew that after taking off a couple of years to have the babies I’d come back and do one.”

On Her Musical Idol:
“Barbra Streisand is my absolute idol. I love what she does. She’s a singer, an actress, she went into directing — she does it all. I sang Streisand’s ‘My Man’ to Marc at his 40th birthday party. It was a perfect song to sing to him.

HMMM … I never figured J. Lo for a Streisand fan … but I guess I can see how she might look up to her career as a whole. Great photos, nice interview, LOVE the video (J. Lo in those Louboutin boots is KILLER) … not a bag package altogether.

She looks amazing, glowing as usual. Hopefully my copy will be in my mailbox when I get home.

I think it’s unfortunate, however, that they nearly cropped off her entire right thigh in the third picture. I love that J.Lo and Beyonce actually have lovely, shapely lower halves of their bodies, and it makes me sad when they photo shop them out so they can look like the waifs that they are not.

  4. bubblegum says:

Yes yes yes! Usual I loathe the covers of InStyle (even though I do like the mag!), but I saw the J.Lo cover and was blown away. I adore the top right pic, but they all look great. She has such a great face and I like how she actually makes different expressions in pictures.

  5. Jenn says:

i agree that the woman never seems to age, but on the other hand she always looks exactly the same. im not saying i need to see her super yoga veiny armed, but aging is A OK and so is changing your look.

  6. Janelle says:

    @Jenn – I couldn’t agree more.

  7. Me says:

….yawn…another alien looking picture…she may not age, but the hair pulled back look is old….

  8. TERRI says:

    SHE DEFINETLY LOOKS GOOD!!!!

  9. I’ve always loved her skin. She looks radiant, really.

I think she is an amazingly beautiful woman. Bone structure, skin tone and texture, just amazing. I am really not a fan of her acting or her music, though. She sure knows how to work a photoshoot though. That might be part of why I don’t like her acting, she always seems to be so aware of the camera.

  11. CHASE says:

With her hair pulled back it makes her head look really prominent which isn’t such a good look on women. She does always look the same; just like Elisha Disku or whatever.

  12. Trude says:

I use Photoshop regularly, and you can’t (really) fake bone structure like that! :) Part of it has to do with the way she’s lit, but I’m willing to bet they did minimal post-processing. The woman’s just gifted with great skin. :)

  13. Against censorship says:

    Act your age J.lo! You#re 40!

  14. nicole says:

    who cares that shes 40?
