My flight from LA to Detroit was pretty uneventful yesterday, while it felt longer than the 3 hours and 33 minutes it takes to get home to Detroit we did manage to arrive 20 mins. early so that kinda made up for how long the flight felt. Upon arrival, Sarah and I went out for a sushi dinner before we met up with her friend Agnes for a night on the town. It’s Dearborn Homecoming this weekend so we made sure to enjoy some of the festivities last night. First, we went to Silky’s for some drinks and to see Blackberry Brandy perform … they were kinda a’ight. Then we went to Cheli’s to do some more drinkin’, a bit of dancin’ and to enjoy a performance by 50 Amp Fuse … they were kinda awesome. Here are some photos from last night’s fun:
Both bands are cover bands but 50 Amp Fuse were much more fun. They did some Journey and some Bon Jovi by request for us so we had fun. Sarah and Anges got a dance lesson on how to do The Hustle from some fun ladies, we had a blast. The girls kept pourin’ drinks down my throat so I had a bit of a rough morning today … but I’m feelin’ fine and ready for the day.
It’s been raining all morning but a nice lunch of Jet’s Pizza got me in a great mood! Tracey and Zakiya are comin’ over so we can celebrate her birthday and then later on Sarah and I are going to see Tori Amos at the Detroit Opera House tonight! Fun!!! My trip home to Detroit is already half over … boo!!!
Just to clarify: I do know how to do the hustle already, but she had some other version she tried to teach us. We chose to stick to the original style. :)
Sometimes the original is the best eh. Looks like you guys had too much fun. A bit jealous here. lol
yeah, i second that sar…i, as well, know how to hustle…but baby girl was a lil’ rusty…cause #1. i haven’t been to a wedding in some time – and you know that’s where all the hustlin’ goes down…and #2. i was a weee bit drunk. ;0)

If I am not being to nosey I was just wondering what the tattoo says on your back? This weekend for fun my husband and I went and added 2 more tats for me and he had 1, it was really fun!!
