Halloween II, the horror film remake helmed by rocker/director Rob Zombie, had its Los Angeles premiere at Grauman’s Chinese Theater in Hollywood, CA last night. As you might expect, the event was a star-studded affair that managed to bring out all the biggest names in Hollywood … or, mebbe just the cast of the movie (including Scout Taylor-Compton, Danielle Harris and Zombie wife Sheri Moon) and a few extra folks like Shar Jackson and her eldest daughter Cassie (who was not fathered by Kevin Federline, in case you were wondering). Here are a few photos from the red carpet:

To be completely honest, I think the sight of Rob Zombie‘s patchwork pants are the scariest thing I think I have ever laid my eyes on … one hopes that his remake of this classic horror film is just as scary. Somehow, I doubt it. Nonetheless, I am very excited to see the film anyways. I LOVE the original Halloween and Halloween II and while Zombie‘s remake of Halloween didn’t necessarily wow me, I am holding out hope that he stepped up his game for Halloween II. The film opens in theaters this Friday … just in time for Halloween but 2 months early. Yeah, I dunno why either … but there you have it. Who’s gonna be there on opening day?

I actually literally bumped into him and his wife once, and it was frightening. I sort of mumbled “sorry” and did everything I could to avoid him for the rest of the day. The man is actually quite small in “real life”.
I love the original Halloween and Halloween II. I grew up on those films! I thought Rob Zombie’s remake of the first film was terrible so I’m reluctant to see this one. I know it’s his “thing” to look and dress like that, but couldn’t he clean up a little for the premiere. He looks dirty.
I thought his remake was great. Rob Zombie loves horror. The man lives his life one it. I loved the fact that he gave michael a sense of humanity in the first installment of his remake (in ex. when he saved that girl from the guards). John Carpenter loved his remake, and if the man loved it himself i think that is saying ALOT. :)
At first I was hesitant but now I am getting pumped!! I love horror movies!
I liked Zombie’s take on Halloween 1. I think it will be interesting to see where he takes these characters with Halloween 2. Supposedly, this will be the final Halloween movie, but you know how that goes….
why cant he just take other delightful characters that are his o.w.n to new places. why does he have to fuck with other peoples perfection? why does he look like the dude from counting crows? why do i want to call his wife moon pie??
I’m sorry but the main girl is extremely annoying. I couldn’t even stand her in the first remake. I don’t think I’ll see it just because it looks bad and all over the place.
Let’s get one thing straight before this conversation continues to venture in the wrong direction. Rob Zombie’s Halloween I and II are both re-imaginings of the original Halloween series encompassing all of the original films from I-?. They are not remakes of the films. Oh, and by the way, I love the original Halloween’s I and II.
@ NIck Agreed :)
