Yesterday was a nice and quiet day for me, spent most of it indoors re-reading my copy of Good Omens: The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch for The Turtle Party: Book Club. I must’ve read the book at least 5 times before but I just love it each and every time … and this read, I’m taking my sweet time so as to better enjoy the story. I’m just amazed at how adept Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett were at crafting this story together:

I am not kidding when I say Good Omens is one of my fave books of all time. It’s just … a delight. I urge you all to pick up a copy and check it out. It’s a really fantastic book.
I think I’m gonna get out of the house this evening tho, I have a few errands to run and I may go see G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra again. I had so much fun seeing it the first time, I kinda wanna see it again ;)

1st) Thanks for helping me finally choose a book to read! I will be reading this starting as soon as I pick it up.
2nd) It sounds like it is getting good reviews. I can’t wait to see the movie. I know you are sitting in the theater thinking of
that Mr. Tatum will break into strip mode at any second. If it didn’t happen the first time, it won’t the second:)!!
Trent, I am currently reading “Good Omens” as per your suggestion last week. I am loving it so far. Being a fan of Gaiman, I am enjoying reading this collaboration!
@Katie — Isn’t it funny and clever? LOOOOVE this book, so glad you’re enjoying it too :) xo
Just read this book a few months ago, and I have to say, it’s in my top 10 of all time already! I have since read every other Gaiman book I could get my hands on; going to start in on Pratchett’s work next!
I want to be your best friend, we have so much in common! I LOVE that book, and I’ve never met anyone else that has read it! Lol I second your recommendation…very strongly.
I’m glad you decided to bring the book club online for those of us interested in it. I bought a cheap paperback copy of “Good Omens” and have been having a very hard time setting it down. In addition, I haven’t laughed out loud while reading a book in a long, long time. Once the deadline for having it read hits, will the Twitter followers be asked to share their thoughts on it?
Good Omens is amazing! I was hoping this post would be about a movie adaptation (something I’ve been wanting for YEARS), but I’m really glad you’re just trying to spread the word about an awesome book : )
@Trent – I have been writing down ALL the books you suggest & hopefully soon I will be able to swing by Half Price Books OR Barnes & Nobles to pick em up and enjoy – Thank you for all your suggestions KEEP EM COMIN ;-)
