I Look To You completely sounds like a Diane Warren song. She makes tons of money re-writing similar songs for so many people! Congrats to Whitney, I think this cd will sell a ton of copies.

  2. Monique says:

Thank you for letting me know about this, Trent. I’m having a rough day and this is exactly what I needed. :)

    Welcome back Whitney Houston!

  4. jenny says:

    what happened to her voice?

  5. Caufield says:

I’m sorry, I know everyone is all Whitney lovefest, but let’s be honest: this cd, her song choices & uninspired singing is banal, at best. Even the pictures are boring. As happy as we all are she kicked that narcotic, she needs to head back into the studio with fresh blood, not Clive Owen.

Say what you will about Mariah Carey(and her haters hate strong) but when she did Emancipation, her supposed “comeback,” she DID the damn thing on that cd. Mind, body & soul were thrown into every second of that cd. And I’m more looking forward to “Memoirs.” And I’m waiting with baited breath to her cover of “I Want to Know What Love Is.”

I know it’s better to give both DIVA’s their due, but for me it’s Mariah, all day—-all night.

P.S. Maybe Whitney should start writing some songs so there’s a connection between her and her music. Just a thought.

    um, not so much…

  7. Krissy says:

Caufield, I get what you are saying and I agree for the most part. I don’t think the music is spectacular and it does lack soul, but I gotta give her props for actually getting back on the horse and recording her cd.

  8. mimi says:

Couldn’t get through most of the songs. Maybe because I expect so much from Whitney. She can still outsing many of today’s vocalists, though. I hope Whitney (and her amazing voice) make a full recovery.

  9. Isabelle says:

I’m totally with Caufield on that one.
I would listen to Whitney’s cd, ’cause I love her too, but I’m just afrait of beging disappointed, you know ?

  10. Kookie says:

Whitney is better on a bad day than some of your favoites. Welcome back Whitney this is only the beginning.
