Christian Audigier Reveals His Michael Jackson Merchandise
The hack "designer" also reveals a stolen t-shirt design

In a new interview with the tabloid news show The Insider, crappy designer Christian Audigier reveals some of the costumes he co-designed with the late Michael Jackson which he was supposed to wear on stage during his comeback This Is It Tour. Additionally, Audigier reveals some of the concert merchandise t-shirts that he claims he designed for sale at the shows. Here are a few screencaps from this new interview:

Not only are Audigier‘s designs truly fugly but “his design” of the Beat It jacket t-shirt is a straight RIP OFF of a t-shirt that was created and is already available for sale at Threadless.com. Funny enough, I own this t-shirt and I was WEARING it yesterday when I first saw this interview (I’m still wearing it now because I slept in it — it is the EXACT same design as the one that Audigier claims he created):

Christian Audigier is a hack and a thief. Click HERE to see and order your own Michael Jackson Beat It t-shirt right now!! After the jump, check out this Insider interview in full …

According to this interview, this merch may never be sold to fans … but my guess is, yes it will. You put those sparkly gloves on sale today and you will sell them out, guaranteed. None of these designs should be attributed to Audigier because we know he only designs things with tacky hearts and cheesy panthers on them. What a sham.

God, this guy is such a douche. I wouldn’t be surprised if we found out hes living with Michael Lohan and Jon Gosselin. I bet they have slumber parties all the time.

  2. MiniMe88 says:

I HATE THIS GUY!!! This jerk kinda makes me feel ashamed to be French =/ lol
He’s the most arrogant and self-centered person I’ve ever seen!
When MJ died, I saw Audigier on TV and he said “The King of Pop once said I was the King of Fashion, it’s quite something” I was like WTF???

  3. Lauren xx says:

I wouldn’t even call him a designer. All Christian Audigier does is arrange someone else’s artwork onto different articles of clothing, and he does it very badly at that.

  4. glou says:

I thought I had seen that shirt before!

  5. Jerika says:

So that’s what that shirt is. I saw it last night in the CD store, and I actually commented on what an ugly shirt it was, I had no idea it was supposed to have anything to do with Michael Jackson.

  6. Chella says:

I will be honest I so like his t-shirts I even have a few!! I donnt like the M.J. shirts thou! How can people believe him about his deal with M.J.? Its like everyone is trying to cash in one poor Michael’s death….it really sucks I wouldn’t buy one of those shirts I do think Christian is a pig!

  7. lyndyloo says:

    what a fucking slimy douchebag.

  8. Sandy says:

Did perhaps someone at Threadless rip off Audigier design instead of the other way around?

  9. Heather says:

@Sandy: Its possible, but I think this is the first look we’ve gotten at these shirts..and since Trent actually owns the shirt, I’m assuming that Threadless had the idea for this shirt before MJ even decided to put on a tour. It takes a while to come out with a whole collection of clothing, so I doubt they just popped it out within the last month or so(assuming they do collections at a time. I don’t know anything about Threadless)

I have ALWAYS hated Ed Hardy stuff, and now I hate it even more… I refer to it as Douchewear, as others do.
I’m not even going to get started on the topic of the capitalizing on MJ’s death by numerous parties.
I know that is bound to happen, but still. So fast?
One month after MJ’s death and we are already seeing this on TV? Sad. :( >>

The lovely US of A wastes no time in making a buck off the living, and even more so, the dead. :(

  11. Denise says:

I love Threadless! yeah, like Trent said they sold this shirt years ago and just reprinted it as well as one with zombies doing the thriller dance

  12. erin says:

he’s kind of disgusting. I feel like he is single handedly trying to confuse men into wearing fugly ridiculous clothes and destroy men’s fashion.
    but threadless is fantastic.

  13. Maybe it is not original but looks good.
    I would buy some!

  14. Liv says:

Audigier SUCKS!!! I often wonder HOW he got started as a designer. But..I guess if you’re gonna make something that will attract all the douches of the world, then you’re gonna make a load of money…maybe he’s not as stupid as he seems.

  15. grace says:

Liv, i completely agree! countless times he has mentioned in interviews that he is not really a designer, but rather an advertiser and marketer. if you notice, he rarely EVER wears his designs, probably because he knows they’re not all that great. however, he is a brilliant marketer because although a lot of people hate his merchandise, he KNOWS that there are still millions of suckers who would die for his stuff.

plus, HE’S the one making at least $80 million a year! guess Audigier gets the last laugh :)!
