Bryce Dallas Howard Shows Off Her Vampy New Look
Gettin' into character

Now that the back and forth feud between ex-Twilight actress Rachelle Lefevre and Summit Entertainment has quieted down a bit (at least in public), I guess Bryce Dallas Howard feels comfortable enough to show her face in public. As you may recall, BDH was hired by Summit to take over the role of evil vampire Victoria (formerly portrayed by Lefevre) in The Twilight Saga: Eclipse earlier this week … but she has pretty much stayed out of the public eye since news broke of her casting in the film. But yesterday, Bryce stepped out here in SoCal to show off her vampy red hair perhaps in an effort to show fans that she can make a good Victoria in the upcoming film:

Well, if merely having red hair makes you Victoria then Bryce should have nothing to worry about. BUT, I personally quite liked Lefevre‘s portrayal of Victoria in Twilight and I’m not really a big fan of Bryce Dallas Howard. She failed to impress me in The Village, Lady in the Water, Spider-Man 3 or Terminator: Salvation. I’m sure she’s been in more films but those are the ones I’ve seen and did not particularly care for. Considering some of the other acting performances that were featured in Twilight, I’m sure Howard will do a fine job in comparison but … I can’t say I’m looking forward to seeing her in the film. I guess we’ll see if she’s up to the task … I’m not holding my breath tho.

    Summit screwed Rachelle over.

regardless, the hair suits her! :)

    That’s all this girl is.

    That’s no Victoria.

While I LOVE Rachelle as Victoria and want her back SO badly, we shouldn’t hate on Bryce. It’s not like she stole the role away from her and we don’t have a choice anyway. Lets give her a chance and play nice

  7. Meream says:

I like her face. But her acting is kinda blah.

  8. nicole says:

im not a fan of her at all…her acting sucks. and this just isnt victorias hair :( not even in the book.

  9. Cassidy says:

I don’t think we’ll even really see her acting skills that much, unless they expand on her part a lot in the movie. She’s only in that one scene in the book, so as long as she can say a few lines and fight, she should be fine.

@ Trent – my comment wasn’t directed at you ;)
…or anyone in particular for the matter. Was just sayn

anyone else thinks she looks kinda like mischa barton in the first pic?

  12. Jessica says:

This is ridiculous, not to be mean towards her, but seriously. I don’t think she’ll ever add up to how Rachelle portrayed Victoria. And I agree with Trent, she has failed to impress me in any of her films yet.

I love Bryce’s red hair. I’ve always been envious of that color.

But, when I was reading the Twilight series, I pictured someone more like Rachelle. I think Rachelle has a very feline look that works great for the role of Victoria, right down to her lions mane of hair.

To me BDH just looks like another chick with red hair. Not interesting at all.

  14. I feel as if Summit replaced Rachelle with Bryce because Bryce’s name to fame. It is unfair, especially when the character of Victoria has such a huge role in Eclipse.

You should see her (bdh) in the film “As You Like It.” Very good.

  16. elle says:

    this is sooo weird..
she better bring it or else there will be alot of angry teens

  17. jenny says:

bah! she stole my hair cut & color ;)

  18. Lindsay says:

Rachelle is Victoria, period. BDH does not have what it takes. She is so boring. I’m still hoping that Summit will come to their senses.

  19. erin says:

    no bueno!!
btw rachs part in new moon was expanded. she is featured in the film more than in the book. the rest of the cast is really perturbed by this.
    we shall see!
