I never said she deserved the extreme she received but I hope this teaches someone to think twice before throwing a drink at another person and not expect a reaction out of them. I don’t know what she expected to happen.
For those who asked what someone would do I have been in that situation and had the ass thrown in jail.

i guess she did provoke him to start the fight but still, he could have done something else. pressing charges on her or just simply leaving the club if he couldn’t keep his shit together. i honestlly believe that no man should ever hit a woman no matter what! and besides, compared to what he did to her, i think he went waaaay too far! and trent, how can you say that this type of altercation is fun? especially when someone just got beat up?? i dont think that sounds fun at all…sounds pretty sick that you find it fun!

I was disgusted by people saying that it’s ok for this woman to be hit. You cannot rationalize that because she has fake breasts or isn’t intelligent that she deserves to be hit by Joe Francis. She did not behave as an adult or with any class but it makes me sick to think that people believe violence is an appropriate response here. It’s a Hollywood club not the back alleys. Joe Francis is an idiot. If he is really such a danger that she should have “known better” than to mess with him, then he needs to be in jail to prevent further incidents.

Well we got the story straight on this whole situation. Jayde threw her drink AND her glass at Joe and when he was going to tell her something SHE fell down on her own and I guess that when Joe decided to take things into his own hands. As for Brody it seems that Jayde was egging Brody on to start a fight with Joe….so you see peoples Jayde is a bad influence that wants the drama since she been on The Hills. She loves it craves it and deserved what she got. Cause NO ONE should throw a glass at your head and not get a slap back in return

People who are defending a man for punching a woman in the face for throwing a BEVERAGE are unbelievable. Yes, she is a fool for tossing a drink at him, but when you beat someone you are crossing a very serious line. A drink doesn’ t cause serious damage, a punch can. Hasn’t Joe been arrested before for hitting this same woman?

So what I’m seeing here….is that if anyone here threw a drink in someone’s face, it’s ok for that person to hit you in the face, punch you in the ribs, pull your hair out?!
And nothing should happen to that person, who punched you in the face which caused you to have a black and blue cheek, punch you in the ribs so that now you have bruised ribs, and pull your hair out so now you have a balled spot, that this person who did this all to you, no charges should be brought and no punishment either and that person was in the right!

Reading some of these earlier comments stating that this girl deserved what she got is Pathetic. It reminds me of those polls taken in high schools after Rihanna’s beating, where a large percentage of teenage girls stated that she was to blame. It’s absolutely horrible.

i cant believe how many people are defending Joe…and im sure half of you defending him are the same ones who wanted to feed Chris Brown to the dogs. i mean we dont know what was sad right? for all we know he could have crossed a line and she threw the drink – or i could be totally wrong. i dont know much about her..i only know how Jayde is from the hills…and that doesnt say much.

@Pixie – It is my belief that if someone does something to me that I don’t like, it is MY responsibility to do the *right* thing and walk away. I am the only person whose actions I can control. I can not concern myself with how others handle themselves.
Sure, she shouldn’t have been an asshole, but he had the opportunity to end it, and instead he chose to be a douche and beat up someone smaller and weaker than he.
Finger pointing and laying blame on the other party is tantamount to feeling entitled, and that’s bs.

Lana, Monic, Gaby – really? It just seem to be a very young view point with out much experience in self-control. Just because someone starts something doesn’t mean you have to respond in violence. Her jester, while rude, she didn’t lay a hand on him. This is not apples to apples comparisson in terms of response. You don’t have to have an ounce of respect for that girl to make that determination. Joe has been in the trouble with the law before. A more suited resposne would been to the bounces and have them remove her so she can feel stupid for getting kicked out of a hot spot night club on the night of her boyfriend’s birthday. When will people stop thinking in terms of “an eye for an eye”? If Francis was to sit in court and say, I beat her excessively because she threw a drink at me that CLEARLY would not stand.

The cops should arrest and taser all three of them for being dumb asses that can’t control themselves. I’m not saying it’s right, but maybe she will to keep her actions under control in the future. It sounds as if Jayde started the whole mess, and sometimes it takes a little more than words to get the point across to some people. She probably didn’t deserve a major beatdown, but she sure as hell isn’t innocent .
