On Monday we learned that the newly blonde Britney Spears made her way out to a club late Sunday night to enjoy a night on the town with some friends … what we didn’t know at the time was that Brit Brit met up with the also recently new blonde Lindsay Lohan at the club and the ladies partied together. While a report from Life & Style magazine makes clear that the old BFFs didn’t do anything “crazy” on their night out, I can’t help be be reminded of those dark days when Britney was a complete trainwreck mess a couple of years ago … she was spotted partying with Lindsay and Paris Hilton on occasion. Could those dark days be upon us again:
Britney Spears may have a new hairstyle, but she’s back to partying with old friends. On Aug. 2, Britney showed up after 2 a.m. at Full Frontal at The Grand Star Jazz Club in LA, where she danced and chatted with Lindsay Lohan. Friends from Andy LeCompte’s hair salon, where Britney got her new blond ‘do earlier that day, joined the girls. An insider tells Life & Style, “There was no craziness, just a lot of fun and dancing.” Britney and Lindsay stayed until the club closed, around 3 a.m. Lindsay tells Life & Style, “It was such fun!”
Man … I’m not gonna lie … this is worrisome behavior. I totally believe that Britney and Lindsay played nice and stayed out of trubs but this seems like a very slippery slope to me. Britters has been clean, we presume, for sometime now … but the temptations that exist in club environments could be too much for someone in recovery to handle. Let’s not forget, Britney is still under the conservatorship of her father Jamie Spears. I’m glad that Britney is tasting some freedom again … let’s just hope she is able to handle it better this time around. What do y’all think … is it too soon for Britney to be partying with anyone, let alone partygirl Lindsay Lohan?
Trent you should’ve posted the shot of Britney’s entire outfit that night, it’s was quite a dress. I’m looking forward to Britney being free again and there’s nothing wrong with her going out. Somethings gotta inspire her to make more music.

How is it possible to look at that pic and voice concern for Britney? Hello? Lindsay’s weight? She looks sickly; she looks like a skeleton.

Britney will be fine. She should be allowed to go out and blow off some steam. Lindsay on the other hand looks a mess and I’m def more worried about her.
I don’t see how people can make the judgement that Britney “didn’t do anything wrong” years ago. A judge said that she was a drug addict that endangered herself and her children. I don’t know about you, but endangering kids is a pretty big “wrong” in my book. At the end of the day, I think her biggest threat is her addiction to getting paparazzi attention. She seems to base so much of her life on what grabs headlines, instead of the mundane but valuable things like creating a safe, loving, and PRIVATE life for your children. Lindsey and Paris both have the love for the paparazzi like Brit, and I do think it is bad for her to hang out with them. I am not a fan, but I do hope that she doesn’t destroy herself chasing the attention that, sometime or other, will eventually fade.

I do have hope Brit ain’t gonna resort to this lifestyle once the co-ship is over. We can’t judge yet coz she is clearly still on papa’s leash. But can i just point out that the sunnies… used to wear them A LOT when partying etc.. back in the day. But hey, shes known for that with the paparazzi & all.

I think Brit does understand now. If she screws up the kids will def be gone for good! She loves them too much to throw all that away.

She obviously was a danger to herself and her children, but she has a mental illness that at the time was untreated. A lot of people with untreated mental health issues will self medicate, making the problems worse and becoming addicted. While the things she was doing were wrong that’s not the same as her being a bad person.
I’ve got a friend who’s brother is also bipolar, and it’s pretty much the same damn thing, maybe slightly less “crazy” because he’s not on any drugs, but pretty similar. And he really can’t help it.
But anyway, on the topic of the post, if Lindsay was actually clean and sober herself I’d say that it’s a great friendship, people with substance abuse issues need sober friends to keep them sober, and if that friend has a similar history even better. But she’d need to totally clean up first.
LL is a MESS. Seriously. How anyone finds her attractive is beyond me.
This does not bode well. I can’t help but get the feeling that Lindsay is willing to “use” any celebrity to have another 15 minutes of fame (seeing as how she barely works and is broke). Brit looks cute and sober (yeah for her!). Hopefully this is just a little night out out for old times sake, and Lindsay’s bad influence does not creep into Brit’s life.

hey, i think it’s a great thing she’s going out there and finding out whether she can handle semi-sobriety and clubbing… perhaps it’s better to find out now while dad is still in control?
