Britney Spears was a surprise cameo guest last night on The Late Show with David Letterman making her first appearance on the show in 3 years to deliver the Top 10 List for last night’s ep:
Bikini-clad and lookin’ fab, Brit Brit delivered the Top 10 Ways The Country Would Be Different If Britney Spears Were President including #10: She’d be the first President to wear eye shadow since Nixon. She looked good, except when she first said hi I thought she looked so awkward perched like that on her hip…which would explain why she switched to the other one…and then kept switching. It looked uncomfortable and ridiculous and was distracting. At least the weave looked good though.

@ Tracy, I’m going to have to agree with you. It seemed way too scripted, she was clearly reading right off the teleprompter and her body language showed she was uncomfortable and awkward. It seems like she was forcing herself to be super cute and her voice is really high.

I’m not a hater. She’s just doesn’t look that great and she’s not back. She used to be so vibrant and now I’d say she’s just cruising at functional, but Trent is a little bit delusional in his Britney-Love much as he’s a bit delusional in his K-Fed-Hate, but it’s his website, that’s why people have websites, to point out their delusions and fixations. Also she’s doing that ackward hip thing because it makes her hips look less wide and it helps mask her stomach issues which she still has 2 kids later (like most women) which you can clearly see in pictures where she sat down in a bikini 5 or 6 days ago. She’s not a desperately toned smokin’ hot pop-star. She’s a well-preserved mother of 2. Get over it.

She really puts herself out there and I give her credit for that, its just that we have seen SO MUCH of her dressing like this that I expect better. I get that she is playing up to the image of “Britney Spears” by wearing the bikini but I think she is at a point in her career where she can re-vamp her image into classy sexy and save the half nekkid costumes for her concerts. I just think shes better than the dumb bimbo thing that has been played out so many times.

obvs she’s not going to be the exact same woman she was when she was 16 and a rising star. come on now. but after two kids, a divorce, all the mental issues she had, you can’t deny she looks great. will she ever be as amazing as she was when she was 20? probably not, but that’s because she’s a grown woman now. i think when trent says “she’s back”, compare her to when her life was spiraling down. she is definitely back. he probably means she has the opportunity to still perform, still have a huge group of fans, still have number ones on the chart… it doesn’t mean she has to rock a 6 pack. it’s kind of like michael jackson… yeah he may have been strange at times, but that doesn’t mean he wasn’t the king of pop and wasn’t an amazing performer. britney is a legend.

Honestly, Letterman rarely has a funny top ten. The writing on his show isn’t good anymore. Britney looked uncomfortable but the whole bikini on a desk thing was also strange. Put her in a slamming suit. None of that was her fault. She looks better than she used to but isn’t ever going to be the old Britney.
She’s game to mock herself and for that I love her.

I thought she looked great! I don’t blame her for reading off a teleprompter…I’m sure she didn’t have a week to memorize the list and practice. It was probably more of a last-minute thing, seeing as we didn’t hear anything about it until yesterday.
I will always root for Britney and wish her health and happiness!

Has anyone ever watched the Top 10 List before? EVERYONE sounds like they’re reading off of a teleprompter..Except for Letterman himself..I thought she looked great, not necessarily cuz her body is pretty banging, but because she looks vibrant and happy again..It’s been a while since we’ve seen that from the girl..As for Trent having blinders on, since when is supporting an artist you love having blinders? He most definitely called her out on her shiz when she wasn’t doing so hot, but never lost faith..That’s what you do when you’re a fan!

That really wasn’t funny at all. I feel like you could swap Britney with any other Hollywood starlet and use that exact same list. But she didn’t write it so can’t really fault her there. What would have really made it funny it it was more “Britney being able to laugh at herself” type jokes. Throw in a Starbucks/Cheetos joke or something silly like that. Ohhh well.

Some of you are flat-out jealous! Deny all you want but it’s the truth! A lot of you are just mad that Britney is still extremely relevant and she’s comeback (sure, she may not be 100% quite yet but still!) To call her body fat or anything is ridiculous. I mean, what does she have to do to get people off her back? She could donate all her money to all the charities in the world and yet you people would still find something to bitch about! I agree with another person who said she kept perching from side to side, to hide her belly-roll. You have to sit very straight to keep a tummy pouch from looking like a fat-roll. Lol. But I’m not doggin’ on her for it… because she does look good for someone who had 2 kids so close together.
I was just wondering two things: WHY are people called haters because they are annoyed by someone? Does that mean that we’re all jealous of SPEIDI??? No.
I’m TOTALLY *NOT* jealous of Brit – I’ve even complimented her, more than a few times… but let someone say one little thing and suddenly, they’re labeled as jealous haters…. People don’t say that when people talk trash about C. Love….
I do have a certain amount of disgust for Brit, but that doesn’t mean I am jealous of her… I don’t like her voice or face at all.. I wouldn’t want to trade my looks to have hers, FOR SURE. I’d never want to be her… sound like her… look like her OR have a life like hers.

@PixiesBassline – We’ll agree to disagree. I think Britney’s weave is completely hideous and her clothes are in poor taste as well but I still love her. Whenever ANYONE mentions something about Britney you’ll notice she gets the most comments (whatever gossip blog it may be) and there will always be fans and haters. Now, you said if you disagree with someone and get labeled as hating then that’s silly, right? Well, that’s true BUT when you keep on going to same person and see the same comments FROM the same people you start to associate them with hating/haters. The words most people say about Britney isn’t even related to constructive criticism or anything in-between. It’s always, “Lyke, omg, why does she carry her kid like that?” or “Dang, she looks horrible” or whatever. There’s plenty of other celebrities who do the same things as Britney but don’t even get scrutinized at all. Sure, Britney has went overboard but it’s because it’s constantly documented by the media. People act as if she’s the only one in the world who does it. Britney has always got scrutinized for the littlest things well before her breakdown and people NEVER give her a break or even a wee bit of credit. I’m not targeting this to you but other people as well. I know I don’t like certain celebrities but I’m not overflowing the pool of hatred, either. And, you know what? A lot of people can sit down and have a fat roll even if you’re super toned. The camera weighs ~70 lbs.~ and plus maybe the shot wasn’t at the best angle and like, maybe she ate a whole big of Cheetos’s and chugged down a RedBull so it made her look big?! Oh wait… I’m being ~overzealous~ because I’m actually making excuses for alternatives that may associate with her appearance and not saying a primary one like, “She HiD3s her FaT r0lls dats why she Is Sittin LiK3 that” right?
