Anna Paquin & Stephen Moyer Are Gettin’ Hitched!
Happily Ever After ... FOR ALL ETERNITY

People magazine is reporting that on-screen lovers in HBO‘s True Blood and real life couple Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer have gotten themselves engaged to be wed. While light on the deets, reps for the couple have confirmed news of the engagement … they’re gettin’ hitched, y’all!

It’s true love for True Blood couple Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer. The two are engaged to be married, reps for both actors on the HBO vampire series confirm to PEOPLE exclusively. No further details were available. The two have been together since Feb. 24 of this year. Paquin, who plays telepathic Sookie Stockhouse on True Blood, is originally from New Zealand and won a 1994 Supporting Actress Oscar for her role as the precocious child in The Piano. Moyer, from Essex, England, plays bloodsucking Bill Compton on the series. He also has two children from previous relationships: a son, Billy, born in 2000, and a daughter, Lilac, born in 2002.

HMMM … I was under the impression that the couple were together longer than just these past few months. But, when two are in lurve, when you know you know. Congrats to the happy couple … here’s hoping this is but the first step in a long and happy life together!

  3. Katie says:

Congrats on the engagement… Anybody else peeved with Moyer for naming his daughter Lilac?

  4. Vanessa says:

They have to have been together more than a year because I read an interview with him having said that when they filmed the Sookie/Sam kiss Stephen pulled Sam Trammel aside to explain to him that he and Anna were dating. Since that aired last fall perhaps the date given should have been in 2008?

  5. meh says:

    Congrats! Love Anna.

  6. Jen says:

Anna and Stephen have been together since filming the first season of Trueblood. However, they only went public with their relationship earlier this year while promoting the new season. Also, Anna is originally from Canada and moved to New Zealand with her family as a pre-teen.

  7. Krissy says:

Congrats to them! I love the show, and they seem like nice people. I wish them all the best!

This is exciting news for them! In a moment of selfishness, I really hope this doesn’t go sour and ruin my favorite show!!!

He looks a LOT older than her.

  10. Jessica says:

    @B She’s 27 and he’s 40 so that’s why he looks older

YAY. If only he were a real vampire. It would make this even more awesome!

  18. Stromm says:

Why can’t coworkers just keep it in their pants! Sad, cause I like this show. Sure, it’s really deviating from the books, but I guess this means that Sookie will stay with Bill for the entire show.

    Ps –
    Anna Paquin
    DOB
24 July 1982, Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada
    She was born in Canada….

    Congrats anyway…

Poor journalism on People’s part. Like others have said, they announced in February that they had been together since filming started. So they have been togethera lot longer than a few months.

Stromm — It happens a lot to normal people too. Once you are out of school, the people you see at work everyday are usually the core group of people you know. So it is inevitable that close friendships develop and those can always lead to a relationship.
