Bryce Dallas Howard & Xavier Samuel Bring ‘Twilight’s Victoria & Riley To Life

Filming on 'The Twilight Saga: Eclipse' is now underway
Tuesday, August 25th, 2009

Bryce Dallas Howard officially stepped into the role of the evil vampire Victoria as filming got underway in Vancouver, BC on the set of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse. Having gotten the role after the former Victoria actress – Rachelle Lefevre – was fired by Summit Entertainment last month, Bryce and her co-star Xavier Samuel (who plays Victoria’s minion vampire Riley in the film) got down to biz last night filming a steamy kissing scene:

Any last ditch efforts to allow Lefevre to step back into the role of Victoria are now completely dead, as if a stake was driven thru the heart of hope itself. I’m not sure how I feel about this frizzy wig that BDH has got goin’ on … but, well, she has to look like Victoria even tho Summit got rid of a perfectly good actress who actually looks like Victoria. I guess we’ll see how all of this turns out … but it’s officially on now. There’s not turning back … BDH is in the Twilight hiz.

Imogen Heap Brings Her Fabulosity To NYC

WERK!
Tuesday, August 25th, 2009

Imogen Heap paid a visit to The Late Show with David Letterman to promote the release of her new album Ellipse (available now!) and posed for a few photos on her way to the Ed Sullivan Theater where the show tapes. As you can see, she is one big ball of FIERCE!

Imogen Heap has been an insanely creative and beautifully talented musician for years and I am so happy that she has finally come into her own. I remember seeing her on her first tour when she opened for Rufus Wainwright (her music was all piano, no electronics then) and to see how far she’s come, it’s wonderful. She has always had a flair for the dramatic when it comes to her personal style … you can see how genuine she is (rather than contrived like other pop stars who try too hard). I’ve been listening to Ellipse almost non-stop since it became streamable online last week. It’s fabulous … she’s fabulous. Woot!

Lance Bass’s New Boy Is A Pitbull

Homie don't play dat
Tuesday, August 25th, 2009

It would seem that former boybander Lance Bass has snagged himself a new man or, at the very least, a very protective new friend. Lance and said individual were making their way out of Bijou’s nightclub in London, England this week when they were approached by a photog hoping to snap a few pictures … but it was Lance’s new boy who snapped, trying to open an can of whoop ass on the paparazzo:

Lest you think a man wearing a scarf and a far too-unbuttoned silk lavender shirt would pose no real threat, think again. I’m pretty sure there are muscles underneath all that carefully coiffed fluff. If Lance hadn’t restrained his friend and dragged him away from the fray, well, I shudder to think what might’ve happened. Looks like Lance has got himself a spitfire there … I hate to think what might happen if when Lance decides to dump him.

Yummo!
Tuesday, August 25th, 2009

While many of us were using the Lord’s day of rest last Sunday to, well, rest actor/musician/hottie Ryan Gosling was bizzy workin’ on his fitness at his local gymnasium. Homie was rockin’ a pink tank top for the event, behold:

Even all sweaty and in odd positions he looks hawt … well, especially in odd positions ;) I don’t know that cut-off dress pants shorts are really that aerobically effective but, hey, are you gonna argue with this man?

‘Valium Is My Favorite Color’

The TV Guide
Tuesday, August 25th, 2009

Last night was a night off from Nine Inch Nails shows so I managed to get a ticket to see the musical Next to Normal at the Booth Theatre on Broadway. After it won a few big Tonys at the 2009 Tony Awards (Best Leading Actress in a Musical, Best Original Score, Best Orchestrations) it caught my attention and got on my list of shows to see. Broadway shows are traditionally dark on Mondays but Next to Normal is not your traditional show:

I’m hesitant to give away anything in my review of the show because I believe the show packs a better punch if you see it cold. I literally gasped out loud at least twice. Suffice to say, I loved the show. Honestly, tho, the first couple of songs worried me … it didn’t grab me initially and I feared it might turn out to be a stinker. But then, well — read on after the jump if you’re intrigued but IF YOU PLAN TO SEE THIS SHOW see it cold, trust me …

David Beckham Rocks The Board Shorts In Malibu

America ain't ready for the speedos
Tuesday, August 25th, 2009

When last we saw David Beckham modeling his own personal swimming attire, he was was photographed in a teeny weeny speedo on a yacht while on a Seychellian anniversary holiday in July with his wife Victoria Beckham. Today we get to see new photos of Becks rockin’ his swim attire here in the US but, unforth for us, Becks opted for a pair of board shorts rather than his small pants:

Methinks Becks feels the speedo look is a bit too European for American beaches hence his decision to look like an Abercrombie & Fitch model … well, at least an A&F model’s dad. You will not that Becks is using a US flag beach towel cuz, you know, he’s a yankee when he’s here in the US — he’s even wearing the hat! Le sigh. Enjoy!!
