On Friday we got to see a new batch of pretty cool-looking promo photos for the upcoming 2nd season of Dollhouse. Today we get to check out a new promo poster that has just been released:

Damn, Eliza Duskhu looks good in black leather, don’t she? I am LOVING all of the promo materials coming out for Dollhouse these days. For the most part, the photos and graphis are very striking as opposed to subtle and subdued. I don’t recall that the promo push was as ardent last season so I’m happy to see that FOX is putting some work into promoting the show’s second season. While I really love Eliza‘s character Echo, I wouldn’t mind seeing a few promo posters featuring other dolls … like Sierra … or Whiskey? Also, it would really please Buffyverse fans if promo pics of Alexis Denisof and/or Summer Glau made their way to the Internets … just a suggestion. I also hope they keep the promo stuff comin’ … I’m lovin’ it!

Last night was the first show of the FINAL leg of Nine Inch Nails‘s Wave Goodbye Tour and, by pretty much all accounts, it was a fucking FANTASTIC performance. NIN played the intimate (ie. minuscule) Bowery Ballroom to a well-sold out house of ardent fans. The Horrors were the opening act but, in all honest, every single person in that venue was there for NIN:

The setlist for last night’s show was an excellent mixture of old and new and provided over 2 hours of kickass entertainment. Those of you seeing any of the future NIN shows on this leg of the Wave Goodbye Tour are in for a treat because I’ve been assured that the shows will all be different and Trent Reznor has got a bunch of really amazing surprises in store (if just *one* of the setlist scenarios I heard about turns out to be true, I will DIE). There’s a reason that Prince Harry has started being referred to as the hotter prince over the elder Prince William (and it’s not just because Wills is losing his hair) … it’s cuz red heads are sexy! Last weekend David Beckham was ejected from the LA Galaxy match vs. the Seattle Sounders after he (and Galaxy teammate Eddie Lewis) was slapped with a red card penalty for unnecessary roughness. Not only was Becks fined for the infraction but he had to endure a 1 game suspension and was forced to miss a match vs. Chicago earlier this week. But Becks (and Lewis) were back in action in Washington DC for the match vs. DC United. The game ended in a 0-0 draw, which wasn’t really good for anyone, but Becks ended up stripping off his jersey at the game’s end so, I suppose it ended up win-win all around:

David Beckham’s return wasn’t enough inspiration for the Los Angeles Galaxy in a 0-0 draw with D.C. United in Major League Soccer on Saturday. Beckham served a one-game suspension for a red card given on Aug. 15 against Seattle. The Galaxy beat Chicago 2-0 on Wednesday without their English star but couldn’t find the net in soggy conditions at RFK Stadium in Washington, where Beckham made his MLS debut just over two years ago. The Galaxy, unbeaten in their last six road matches, remained second in the Western Conference and fourth overall. United remained fourth in the Eastern Conference and ninth overall.

LOL. I mean, really, do people still come out to watch Becks play soccer or to run around for a while, get all sweaty and then get half nekkid? Trust me, I do not mind. I find it kinda funny that officials think they are punishing Becks by making him miss games with the LA Galaxy. Instead of having to jet to Chicago, he got to stay home and plot with his family his escape from his MLS contract for sunnier shores with AC Milan. If they really want to punish him for red card infractions, they should require that he play more games with the Galaxy. That’d show him ;)

It would seem that reports of the demise of the FX series Nip/Tuck have been somewhat exaggerated. In June, the LA Times published a report that claimed the 6th (and final?) season of Nip/Tuck had been filmed and wrapped and would be shelved until January 2010 at the earliest, 2011 at the latest. Show creator Ryan Murphy, who’s other show Glee has become a sensation, has been working furiously on making Glee a success and wasn’t even on set when Nip/Tuck filmed its last scenes. Well, today there is good news for fans of the show. The 6th season of Nip/Tuck has been rescheduled and will air on FX beginning this October:

“Nip/Tuck” will start cutting again in mid-October … That news comes courtesy of the FX executive session at the Television Critics Association press tour on Friday (Aug. 7). “Nip/Tuck” will open its sixth season on Wednesday, Oct. 14 and run for 10 episodes, which will take the show into December; the final nine episodes will likely air sometime next year.

I suppose technically the show is still dunzo because this upcoming 6th season is supposedly the last. But, at least we won’t have to wait until 2010 or 2011 to say our farewells. Kellan Lutz, who just this past week was spotted roaming the streets of Vancouver, BC with the rest of his castmates on The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, has made his way back home to LA this weekend. HMMM, homie knows how to work a tank top, don’t he? Yes, he does. But anyways … I recently mused that the Twilight kids were starting to make themselves at home in Vancouver, where they are currently in production on the third Twilight film, but it seems that Kellan knows exactly where his home is — SoCal. I’m not sure if he made his way back to LA for a special occasion or if he just wanted to be home when he didn’t need to be in Vancouver … as long as he continues to wear tight-fitting clothing like this, I don’t really mind where he pops up. Woot!

Actress (and sometimes singer) Milla Jovovich and director Paul W.S. Anderson got themselves married at an outdoor ceremony at the couple’s Beverly Hills, CA home in front of a gathering of about 50 family and friends. The couple, who met in 2002 on the set of Resident Evil (Milla starred, Paul directed), share a beautiful daughter named Ever Gabo who was born in 2006 and who acted as flower girl at yesterday’s ceremony. Here is a photo of the happily married couple and some deets from their nuptials:

Actress Milla Jovovich married director Paul W.S. Anderson in an intimate outdoor ceremony at their home in Beverly Hills on Saturday, PEOPLE has confirmed. The bride, 33, wore a ’60′s-style mini dress she designed herself as she walked down the aisle in the backyard of the couple’s Spanish-style house, decorated with red and white floral arrangements … Among the 50 guests in attendance was actor Patrick Dempsey and his wife Jillian. The couple’s 20-month-old daughter Ever Gabo was also present. “They’re a super duper couple,” says Lane of the newlyweds. “They clearly adore each other.” Before the ceremony, guests enjoyed a cocktail reception by the pool, where a Spanish guitarist and a female vocalist entertained with traditional Spanish music. After the ceremony, there was a reception that included entertainment by Cuban musicians playing traditional Cuban drums. The wedding cake was a round, four-tiered white cake decorated with a ribbon … “Having a child has completely changed the way I look at my life,” Jovovich told PEOPLE earlier this year. “I don’t worry about my career or what other people think about me. My main priority now is my child and my family.” As for what the future holds for the couple? “I definitely want more kids!” Jovovich said. “I grew up as an only child, so I’ve always wanted to have a big family. I don’t know what the future will hold, but knock on wood, I hope it’ll bring me a big family.”

Much love and congrats goes out to the happy couple! Who knew that a movie like Resident Evil could bring two people together like this? See folks, love can bloom anywhere … even on the set of video-games-turned-zombie-killin’-movies. Here’s to a long and very happy life (hopefully with many more kiddies) for the newlyweds!
