The CW has unveiled its new marketing campaign for their new series The Beautiful Life which, y’all should be well aware by now, Mischa Barton as a drug-hazed model living the life in NYC. It should be make clear that there are also male models featured in this new series and to help get that point across The CW has released this new ad campaign:

Proud papa Ricky Martin, who became a father to a pair of twin boys via surrogate mother last August, is showing off his sons Matteo and Valentino on his official website. As you may recall, Ricky debuted his sons on the cover of People en Español last December and when last we saw him out and about with his sons, the family was out for a chilly winter stroll in NYC last January. Here is a new photo of Ricky, Matteo and Valentino posing for photographer Pablo Alfaro in the family’s latest portrait:

He used to live the “vida loca,” but life has slowed down considerably for Ricky Martin since welcoming his fraternal twins, Matteo and Valentino, by gestational surrogate last August. Sharing personal photos of himself enjoying the sun and surf with the boys on his Web site, Martin, 37, says that fatherhood “feels amazing.” “I’m so happy! Everything they do, from smiling to crying, feels like a blessing,” Martin says of his 1-year-old twins. “This has been the most spiritual moment in my life.”

He is SUCH a mom! His baby boys are so cute and already one year old … where does the time go. To be honest, with cute kids like these, I can totes understand why he’d be very happy and willing to show them off to the world wide web. Dang, Linds … what is going on? In all honesty, Lindsay Lohan has been lookin’ pretty a’ight in recent weeks and months despite all her drama with on-again-off-again-on-again girlfriend Samantha Ronson but ever since she bleached her hair for an upcoming new project, she’s been lookin’ a lot rougher for the wear. The set of superplump lips she was sportin’ in NYC last night, well, they don’t really help matters at all:

Lindsay Lohan has set our un-plumped lips wagging after stepping out with a very different-looking mouth. The sometime actress and fake tan magnate showed off a pair of bee-stung lips at the Inglourious Basterds afterparty at the Standard Hotel in NYC that didn’t much resemble the more modest smacker she normally sports. While the new swollen look could be put down to one of those temporary lip booster things, or, er, a really shiny gloss, we’re thinking not. Still, if she ever fell on her face, those suckers would help bounce her back up again.

Blah. Lindsay looks a right mess. It is so tiring and still so heartbreaking to see this young girl fritter her life away. My only hope is that she is keeping her partying in check and is refraining from doing any permanent damage. Her crazy shenanigans are gettin’ really old. How much longer can she keep this behavior going?

Despite reports recently that claim that Britney Spears and her agent/beau Jason Trawick have ended their romantic affiliation (which, it would appear, has been going on for quite some time now), sources close to the couple insist that the pair are still together … altho in a very “breezy” and “casual” way … which is just what I like to hear:

Britney Spears made a splash by reading the Top 10 list on The Late Show with David Letterman in her bikini Tuesday – but in her personal life, the pop singer is keeping things breezy with her beau, agent Jason Trawick. “Things are fine – they still maintain a great working relationship and he’s in her life as a great friend as he’s always been,” a close source tells PEOPLE. Contrary to recent reports that the two ended their romance, the pair continue their relationship, according to the source. “Jason did not break up with Britney. That’s totally false.” So while they are not exactly headed for the altar, the pair have a great mutual respect for one another. “Things are casual … Britney really listens to what he has to say. He’s been with her a long time, he gets along with the family,” says the source. “He has her best interests at heart, and he cares about her.”

I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again … I think Jason Trawick is the best boyfriend Britney has ever had. He really does seem to care for her and altho they had and still have a working relationship together, I contend that he genuinely has her best interests at heart. The man is stable, y’all. They make a very cute couple and I am rooting for them to make it thru the long haul. Long live, Britwick!!

Last night was the second meeting of The Turtle Party: Book Club and we spent much of the meeting just checking in to see where everyone is in the book. Andy couldn’t make the meeting (last min. tix to see Elvis Costello took precedence, apparently) but Rob, home from his long sojourn away from SoCal, was able to attend. In fact, as a welcome home present for him and Tamar I decided to bring them gifts to help them settle back into domesticity together:

I’m hoping to be able to share a photo of the happy couple enjoying their new gifts someday ;) We decided that Caleb would be bringing 3 options as our next book to read when we meet next, we’ll decide which book at that meeting … as well as discuss Good Omens: The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter. By all accounts, everyone is loving the book thus far … I’m really looking forward to discussing it with everyone in a couple of weeks. Tonight I take the red eye to NYC ahead of the Nine Inch Nails concerts that will take place there this weekend and next week. Those of you who follow NIN on Twitter surely caught the announcement that a few more tix for the Bowery Ballroom and Webster Hall were made available for sale earlier today. Hopefully those of you who couldn’t snag tix the first time around managed to get them this time around. I hope to see you there!! • It turns out that Dr. Conrad Murray may have released his videotaped statement because he is on the verge of being charged with manslaughter.

Dr. Conrad Murray, the embattled physician who stands accused and is being investigated for having a hand in the death of Michael Jackson, released a video statement to the Internets yesterday in order to speak out publicly for the first time since MJ‘s death last June. The 1 minute video statement is directed to Dr. Murray‘s patients and supporters wherein he expresses this thanks and gratitude for their loyalty:

Dr. Conrad Murray, the personal physician to Michael Jackson who is currently being investigated for manslaughter because of his involvement in the singer’s death, took to the Internet on Tuesday (August 18) to record a video statement addressing his family, friends and fans. The one-minute clip shows Murray speaking directly to the camera and thanking supporters for reaching out to him. “I want to thank all of my patients and friends who have sent such kind e-mails, letters and messages to let me know of your support and prayers for me and my family,” Murray said in the clip. He explained that creating the video message was his only course of action to get back to those who have reached out to him, as he has been reluctant to make contact directly. “Because of all that has been going on, I am afraid to return phone calls or use my e-mail,” he said. “I have not been able to thank you personally, which, as you know, is not normal for me.” Last week, investigators raided a Las Vegas pharmacy in search of evidence against Murray, who has been accused of providing Jackson with highly dangerous combinations of drugs, including Propofol. A storage unit in Houston belonging to Murray has also been searched. Murray also used the video to put his supporters at ease. “Your messages give me strength and courage and keep me going,” he said in the clip. “Please, don’t worry. As long as I keep God in my heart and you in my life, I will be fine. I have done all I could do. I told the truth, and I have faith that truth will prevail.” Jackson’s autopsy — along with a full toxicology report — should help determine the next step in Murray’s ongoing legal problems.

In the clip, Murray uses a slow and careful tone that, I assume, is meant to instill confidence in the viewer but only, IMHO, serves to make him look and sound creepy as HELL! After the jump, check out Dr. Murray‘s video message in full and judge for yourselves …

Yesterday we learned that Imogen Heap is making her new album Ellipse available for streaming in FULL online one week ahead of the album’s release next Tuesday August 25 (click HERE to listen to the entire album if you missed it yesterday) and today we get to see the music video for her first single off the disc, First Train Home … here are a few screencaps:

The name Es Devlin is not well-known to music fans, but the British set designer is a rising star in the scene, having collaborated with Kanye West on his ‘Touch the Sky’ tour. However, Imogen Heap became familiar with Devlin through electronic artist Nitin Sawhney, who they’ve both collaborated with. “She directed this very graphic, very visual beautiful piece that she did for Nitin Sawhney and it was an hour-long piece and only the 300 people in the IMAX cinema while Nitin was performing saw it,” Heap tells Spinner. “It was great because I was one of the only people that saw it, but it’s a shame because it didn’t have a life after that.” Heap is rectifying everything by giving Devlin the opportunity to showcase her talent on a much more enduring scale. Devlin directed the video for ‘First Train Home’ — the first single from Heap’s new album, ‘Ellipse’ — a pairing that came about the night of the IMAX film. “Also my friend Mika had worked with Es on a stage set design, so I had two kinds of people on the same night who knew her very well,” Heap recalls. “So I ended up chatting to her and it turns out she’s a fan and she really liked one of the ones I’d done with Nitin and she was really into my music and I just said, ‘We have to do something together.’” “This is her first directing video and so it was a bit of a kind of a challenge for both of us,” Heap continues. “Es had never made a video before, but I knew we had a great relationship. I really like her as a person, I think she’s a genius creative person and I just thought, ‘Two girls together…’ I’ve never been directed by a girl either and I thought we could do something really great together.” According to Heap, having a woman director made some things easier. “She’s an amazing woman and I felt very at ease around her, I felt I could talk to her on the level of even my body and making sure I was happy with the way I looked and just being able to be very open with her,” Heap says. “But if you talk to a man about any kind of woman-y thing they slightly twist around awkwardly.” In fairness, Heap gets that. “I’m equally awkward when a man talks to me around man things.”

Imogen is such an innovative and creative artist, she just effing rules. I’ve been such a big fan since her debut album iMEGAPHONE which was much less electronic. I’m so happy that her work with Frou Frou catapulted her into the fame that she so richly deserves. I hope she tours extensively with this new album cuz I can’t wait to see her live in concert again!
