Dane Cook, who attended the taping of the 2009 Teen Choice Awards last night as a presenter, decided to give Vanessa Hudgens a little shout-out on the show in front of the sold-out audience in attendance. As you may recall, new NSFW nekkid photos of Vanessa made their way to the Internets last week and since that time no one was really talked about those photos … so, of course, Dane thought it would be really funny to bring up the matter on the Teen Choice Awards last night:

Now, because the show was taped for air tonight, it remains to be seen if this particular interaction between Dane and Vanessa will actually be shown — but you can watch video of Dane‘s shout-out to Vanessa in full after the jump …

Here’s the real WTF?! of the day … fiery comedienne Kathy Griffin was spotted on the arm of a hot young buck here in LA over the weekend as the pair walked out together from dining together at Katsuya — after they attended the 2009 Teen Choice Awards together. It turns out that the “hot young buck” in question was none other than Levi Johnston — who wants to be known by the new name Ricky Hollywood and is babydaddy to Bristol Palin‘s baby! When last we heard from Mr. Johnston Ricky Hollywood, he was dishing to the press about things he overheard from former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin while he was living with the Palins during “happier” times when he and Bristol were still together, raising their child. Now he’s playing toyboy to Kathy Griffin? I suspect that this hook-up is nothing more than a ploy by Griffin to whip up some publicity … after all, she previously stepped out with former photog/Britney Spears boyfriend Adnan Ghalib after Britney cast him aside as well as with Paris Hilton for a shopping trip on Robertson Blvd. We’ll prolly be hearing about/seeing this date on her Bravo reality TV show My Life on the D-List (cuz you don’t get more D-List than Levi Johnston). Truth be told … these two make a cute couple … perhaps this really wasn’t a publicity ploy and the couple are really involved. It would be a boon for both their careers … don’tcha think?

Last Thursday we learned that Victoria Beckham was confirmed to appear as a guest judge on the next season of American Idol, filling in for Paula Abdul who decided not to sign her contract with the show. While it remains to be seen whether or not Paula will be on the show when it returns to TV in January, the folks at AI are moving forward full steam ahead. Auditions for the next season took place in Denver, CO over the weekend and new guest judge Vicki B. was on hand to begin her work on the show. Victoria Beckham’s debut as an American Idol judge proved less than successful when she was branded ‘too nice’ for the show’s panel. Posh Spice, 35, stepped in for one episode following the departure of long-time judge Paula Abdul, but some Idol backroom staff called her performance ‘icy and wooden’. And others said the former Spice Girl tried hard to be liked by the contestants, drawing comparison with Girls Aloud star Cheryl Cole, who frequently burst into tears while judging the British version of the programme, The X-Factor. She was on the charm offensive as she arrived at the auditions in Denver, stopping to shake hands with contestants as she made her way into the auditorium. But rather than being won over by her smile, it’s more than likely most were left shocked by the state of the 35-year-old’s incredibly thin and sinewy arms and shoulders. She was seen arriving back in Los Angeles in an all black outfit with her trademark pout back on over the weekend and was later seen paying a visit to her friend Jennifer Lopez.

HMMMM … I guess the folks over at American Idol must know what they are doing by bringing on board these guest judges to replace the irreplaceable Paula Abdul. While I don’t personally understand how the heart of the show can be substituted by a string of guest judges, I guess you can’t fault the show for trying. My gut tells me that Paula will reclaim her judges seat before the show returns to TV … unless she gets a better offer she cannot refuse in the meantime, I still think she’ll be back. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.

The Fall television season is nearly upon us and we already know that many of our fave shows have been in production for many weeks now to bring the boob tube entertainment that we’ve all been missing since the last television season ended back in late Spring. We know that Gossip Girl Season 3 started filming back in June and here we are 2 months later with the first video trailer for the upcoming season … here are a few screencaps of our first look of GG Season 3:

The trailer is also our first look at the WTF! promo campaign for the series. While it does not show the new GG character that will be played by Hilary Duff, it does quickly feature two other new characters played by Joanna Garcia (ex-Privileged) and Chris Riggi (who plays Scott Ronsson, long-lost lovechild of Lily van der Woodsen and Rufus Humphrey).
