Tickets For The Final Nine Inch Nails Shows Sell Out Instantly
Last week Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails announced that a final batch of tickets would be going on sale for the FINAL Nine Inch Nails shows (possibly of all time) this week. Pre-sales for shows in smaller venues in NYC, Chicago and LA went on sale yesterday evening at 5pm local time at NIN.com. As is usually the case with online pre-sales, there were a few technical problems which cannot be avoided but all in all, the tickets were made available as promised … and sold out within seconds:
The NYC shows (Bowery Ballroom, Webster Hall and two shows at Terminal 5) went on sale first and went the fastest. If you were not logged in at precisely 5pm, you were locked out long enough that you weren’t even able to see the ticketing page to order tickets. The demand was just as high for the LA batch of tickets (Hollywood Palladium, Henry Fonda Theater, Wiltern and Echoplex). Because all of the tickets sold instantly, ticket scaplers have already put tickets on eBay for exorbitant sums. NIN posted the first listing at eBay warning buyers to NOT BUY SCALPED TICKETS:
Every effort is being made to thwart ticket scalping but for shows in such high demand, it’s understandable that this sort of thing is taking place. One hopes that real NIN fans will be able to see the shows for as little cost as possible. I am very, VERY happy to report that I will be attending the NYC and the LA shows. I’ll do my best to share the experience with all y’all. I know some of you also managed to get tickets for the shows you wanted … so I guess I’ll see you there!

I was lucky enough to get Palladium and Henry Ford tickets. Really tired for the Echoplex, but sadly it was not meant to be. :(. Regarding the scalping there is a notice on craigslist also from NIN regarding the scalpers. I love Trent for this. However the 1 listing that got me the most was a guy willing to trade his extra Echoplex ticket for “Sexual Services” . I can understand a guy being hard up.. but I hope he gets something not so nice for doing that.

I am really lucky I have a wonderful friend that got me the first two LA shows, and is flying me out to boot! I got her the last two. I am traveling from NY cause they sold out so fast. But like other NINer’s we are furious if people are scalping. Please don’t do this. Don’t be a d-bag. Also don’t be scammed by people. Use common sense. If it looks to good to be true, it is.

Eep! I had some problems myself and was definitely freaking out but managed to get tickets to one of the Terminal5 shows. I guess I got lucky!
Trent, will you be attending all of the NYC shows?

Unfortunately, I got shut out of the NY shows – such a downer, but I guess there’s still a chance for the T5 regular sale! And besides, I know that NIN has a huge, devoted following so I always hope, but never expect, tickets.
But, you know Trent, should you need a +1 for any of the NY shows…

Got a ticket to Echoplex — yippee! A 20 hour drive, but will be worth it. Longtime (15+ yrs) fan of NIN. A dream come true! Hope to run into you at the show…

AHHHHH!! Could NOT get tickets to Chicago. Sooo very bummed. The site would not come up. I am praying I can get them when they go on sale to public. I will be a sad girl if I can’t.
