Jimmy Fallon, that loveable late-night talk show host who used to make us laugh sometimes on Saturday Night Live, has very famously made it his life’s mission to reunite the cast of the 90′s TV series Saved By The Bell for a possible appearance on his show Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. He even got SBTB star Mark-Paul Gosselaar to appear on his show in character as Zack Morris last month. Well … I’ve got news and bad news for Jimmy … the Saved By The Bell kids have decided to reunite BUT they chose to do so on the cover of People magazine rather than on his show. How’s that for a hearty slap in the face?

Two decades after the show’s debut, the cast of “Saved by the Bell” has reunited! Mario Lopez (Slater), Mark-Paul Gosselaar (Zack), Elizabeth Berkley (Jessie), Tiffani Thiessen (Kelly) and Lark Voorhies (Lisa) look back at their TV high school days — in the new issue of People magazine. Fans of the cult TV sitcom can thank Jimmy Fallon, who started a petition to reunite the Bayside High class of ’90, but where is Dustin Diamond (Screech)? Now a stand-up comedian, Diamond tells People he is no longer close with his castmates and he’s working on a tell-all called “Behind the Bell.” For more about the “Saved by the Bell” cast and what they have been up to, pick up People magazine — on stands this Friday, July 31.
Whew … I’m actually glad that Dustin Diamond (Screech) was not included in this fun reunion. He has turned into quite the sleeze in recent years (BLECH! who could ever forget that disgusting sex tape he was peddling a few years ago). It’s kinda crappy, tho, that the cast decided to diss Jimmy Fallon for the cover of People magazine. Jimmy has been working so hard to get these guys back together and POOF! People magazine does it one fell swoop. Nonetheless, it is great to see the gang back together again. I’m so excited, I just can’t hide it.

welp- that’s what being paid to pose will do to people
HOORAY!! I LOVED Saved by the Bell when I was younger, I will defo be picking this magazine up although I’m sad that they ditched Jimmy for People.
@trent: LOL! I loved the ep when the girls were in a “band” and Jessie was all hopped up on caffeine pills. “I’m so excited! I’m so excited!. I’m so…so… SCARED!”
I can’t wait to buy this issue of People!
who’s excited?! I AM I AM! haha. poor jummy, all that work for nothing.
Aaahhhhh I still love Mark…. :)
OMG… I’m like a 12 year old on a Jonas Brothers high. I’m totally buying this stupid magazine. XD
I love SBTB and I’m glad they got together for this. Nobody needs Dustin Diamond and his ridiculousness.
@Brooke- LMFAO!! One of my fave and most memorable eps!! :)
omg beyond excited! how fun! totally buying this one.. and yay for not including screech.. he was lame! but yeah i do agree boo for JF.. he tried so hard..
I also loved SBTB as a kid and remember watching it with my sister. Anyway, I think it’s cool that they reunited, however, I feel that they should still do an episode of the Jimmy Fallon Show together. He was the one who came up with the idea.
@Brooke, yes! I loved when the formed Hot Sundae! SBTB was my show…and I’m there to get this issue. I’m so glad the left Screech out, tho.
PS. Zack and the gang were the Class of 93, not 90.
I love you so much for posting that Youtube clip, Trent..Seriously, I quote that ALL. THE. TIME!!! That show was so cheeseball but such a huge part of my youth! And hot Hell! They all look amazing!
OMG! This might be the most exciting moment of my life! (Okay, top 10!) AHHHHHHHHHHH!!!
um, YESSSS!
Trent love the reference to that episode, such a classic scene.
First NKOTB, and now SBTB?!? Damn, life is sweet!
The I’m so excited comment just made me laugh out loud!! (and I am at work! )
I laugh at the “so excited” clip every damn time I see it.
It would be cool if they did a reunion show or movie. That would definitely be fun!
Does Tiffani’s hair look just as 80′s today as it did back then? Hmm.
