Last night I went out for dinner with my dear friend Mike to celebrate his birthday. Because his actual birthday party was last Saturday night, the night that David took me to the ballet for my birthday, we decided to do birthday dinner together last night in fine belated fashion. Mike chose Simon LA as the eatery so … eat we did:
It was really nice for just the two of us to hang out and talk … we haven’t had the opportunity to do so in some time. The food was excellent but the highlight had to be the dessert sampler plate! ‘Twas divine, I tells ya! After dinner, we had a few drinks at the Stone Rose Lounge. We didn’t stay out too late but long enough to catch up on what’s been going on in our lives lately.
I’m not sure what I’m gonna do today … I think I may venture out for a movie. Did any of y’all see any movies last night? Any recs? It’s quiet around here with David gone … I’m anxious for him to get back home again tomorrow night ;)
Trent you HAVE to see (500) Days of Summer if you haven’t already! Awesome soundtrack especially! :)
My friend said public enemies was pretty good. I think its a movie you have to go in knowing its Michael mahn so you’ll not have any expectations . Perhaps that? :)
I saw the Orphan last night, honestly don’t know if it’s good or not. It was just so…..’effed up that I can’t really compose an opinion nor suggest or not-suggest you go..
I REALLY want to see 500 Days of Summer, badly. But, alas, no theaters are showing it here yet..

@anon! — the shirt is from a boutique in Amsterdam, I’ve had it for a while. I don’t remember the name but it’s a pretty standard pattern/color. mebbe Old Navy has something similar?

I met this guy on the left! I can’t remember his name but I was at Gay Chicken aka California Chicken on Melrose and we started chatting and I thought he looked familar and he asked if I go to any blogs and I said yes.. i go to Pink Is the New Blog.. and he said thats how you might know me! There he is again. He was a very nice guy! :)
