Rihanna Gets Scalped
In today’s newslinks, I mentioned that Rihanna got herself a new hair’do and after thinking about it for 0.00000003 seconds, I realized that her new ‘do looks a lot like someone else’s old ‘do (well, older ‘do). Here are a few pics of Rihanna showing off her new shaved look … which looks awfully similar to the shaved look that Cassie has been trying to make happen for the past few months:
Now … see … I’m all for adventures in hair styling but I dunno how I feel about the scalped look. I think women shaving their heads is supposed to look edgy … but to me it just looks like they got ambushed by a hair stylist who hates them. The look really looks terrible on Cassie … but at least she can cover up her shaved parts with her longer hair. Rihanna’s scalp is just out there. I’m not sure how I feel about it … what do y’all think? Like? Love? Hate? Puke?

Trent… you totally crack me up… “ambushed by a hair stylist who hates you…” thats good stuff. I am not sure how I feel about this. For some reason, it works for her. Weird as it is, it actually looks ok, better than Cassies do I think.

I totally don’t understand what would possess her to do this… it’s disgusting and does not flatter anyone, anywhere, ever. She looks best with hair about chin-length. This look is… butch… and gross.

Rihanna’s haircut is a slight twist on a classic mohawk. Shaved on BOTH sides with a shock of hair in the middle. Why do you compare her to Cassie? B/c they are both light skin black women? While neither style is original, they aren’t similar to each other.

She should have gotten a fade that didn’t show her skin. It does look horrible. Only Britney can pull off the shaved look! Oh and Rihanna is trying to do anything to shock people. It’s kind of weird because she’s a totally different person from her debut album/second album and I never thought she had it in her to even be a star. Weirrrd.

I think it looks awesome on Rihanna. It looks badass to me. :o I feel kinda lone on my opinion though, lol. Personally, I’d never do it.. But Rihanna really works it.

i dont like it all that much and yet it doesnt look as bad on her as the other girl. but i do think she did it for shock value wich is to bad because there are actualy some people out there who do this to their hair because they like how it looks and them doing it for shock value kind of undermines the other girls doing it because they like it…just a thought

it doesn’t necessarily mean that rihanna has copied cassie, but everyone is gonna assume that anyway (and rihanna kinda probs did anyway, being the more well known).
I mean its not as if rihanna was long haired yesterday. the short look has been goin for over a year now with rihanna. i suppose it kinda suits her, would look different if she ever had loooong hair again like the SOS days.

It’s stupid to say that women shave their heads for shock value :S Ever think more women DON’T do it because they’ll receive the kind of comments found in this comment section?
