There’s a bunch of new info in the Michael Jackson death investigation to report today along with new information pertaining to the care of MJ‘s kids. Because there is so much to pass along, let’s just get thru it all in one blogpost … first up, investigators have deemed the inquiry into MJ‘s death a manslaughter investigation and appear to be focusing on MJ‘s personal physician Dr. Conrad Murray. Yesterday, the DEA raided the Houston, TX offices of Dr. Murray and seized medical records pertaining to MJ as Murray‘s patient:

Authorities are investigating whether Michael Jackson’s death was a case of manslaughter, according to a search warrant served on the offices of the entertainer’s doctor. The search of Dr. Conrad Murray’s clinic in Houston was conducted Wednesday morning by agents from the Drug Enforcement Administration, two detectives from the LAPD’s Robbery Homicide division and officers from the Houston Police Department, according to Murray’s attorney. “We reviewed the warrant and remained on the premises while the search was being executed,” says Murray’s lawyer Ed Chernoff in a statement. “The search warrant authorized law enforcement to search for and seize items, including documents, they believed constituted evidence of the offense of manslaughter.” Among the items taken were a “forensic image of a business computer hard drive” and 21 documents. “None of the documents taken had previously been requested by law enforcement or the L.A. Coroner’s office,” says Chernoff. Murray, who was with Jackson when he was stricken last month at home, has denied any wrongdoing and has said he’s cooperating with authorities. As part of the investigation, the L.A. coroner also has subpoenaed Jackson’s medical records from his former nutritionist, Cherilyn Lee, who worked with him from January to April this year, according to Lee’s rep, Belinda Foster. Authorities interviewed Lee on Wednesday about conversations she had with Jackson.

It is being reported that the TWO autopsys that were administered on Michael Jackson‘s body after he died both turned up the same information … that his body was riddled with needle marks and that the powerful anesthetic Propofol is thought to be the cause of MJ‘s death. Propofol can only be gotten by a medical doctor … and it is believed that Dr. Murray is responsible:

Remember how Michael Jackson’s family commissioned a second autopsy on the fallen King of Pop’s body? Well, E! News has exclusively learned that those results are in—and they are not any different from what was found when the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office did its thing. A source close to the investigation into Jackson’s death tells E! News that the private pathologist’s findings are “consistent” with the county coroner’s, which a coroner’s source says turned up potentially lethal amounts of propofol in the singer’s system. As previously reported, both autopsies found needle marks on Jackson’s body. Propofol, a potent anesthetic administered via IV that leaves people in a largely comatose state, has become the controversial drug du jour since it was discovered in Jackson’s Holmby Hills mansion. Federal regulators are considering adding the drug to their official list of controlled substances, which would require hospitals to account for every drop used. County officials have confirmed that Jackson was taking prescription medications when he died, but they aren’t expected to make public their full report until at least next week because of the ongoing, possibly criminal investigation into the circumstances surrounding Jackson’s untimely demise. The private autopsy was performed June 27, two days after Jackson died and the day following the coroner’s examination of the body.

Oh yes, it looks like the fuzz is zeroing in on the person or people that they suspect are responsible for Michael Jackson‘s death. I wouldn’t be surprised if charges are leveled against these persons of interest very, very soon.

TMZ is reporting that Rebbie Jackson, the eldest Jackson sibling (and least famous sister) will be the one to primarily care for MJ‘s children (even tho matriarch Katherine Jackson currently has guardianship of the kiddies) and Star magazine purports to have found Prince Michael Joesph Jackson, II a.k.a. Blanket‘s biological mother — a Swedish woman named Pia Bhatti …

According to sources dishing to TMZ, it is believed that Rebbie Jackson will be the one to actually raise MJ‘s children primarily because of her very low profile. Unlike the rest of the Jackson family, Rebbie likes to live life out of the spotlight and is completely uninterested in appearing in the media:

Multiple sources in the Jackson family tell us — even if Katherine Jackson gets custody of Michael Jackson’s kids — Michael’s big sister Rebbie Jackson will raise the children. The 59-year-old singer, who shares a home in Las Vegas with her hubby of over 20 years, has kept a low public profile, but privately she has been deeply involved in the lives of Michael’s children. We’re told Rebbie is currently living with Katherine at the family’s Encino home and is caring for the kids day-to-day. As for the kids … they all adore her. Although the family is divided on many issues involving Michael’s estate, we’re told there’s no argument when it comes to Rebbie caring for the kids. Whether she eventually becomes the custodial parent in name or not, she will end up with the primary responsibility of raising Michael’s three children.

This absolutely sounds like the best idea for the kiddies. No one knows who Rebbie Jackson is … and that’s the way she likes it. She never tried to be a part of the Jackson Family fame … she’s lived her life quietly and, one surmises, normally. I think that if these kids are going to have any sort of normal upbringing, it cannot come from the circus-like environment of the Jackson family. I think Rebbie can raise these kids right.

Star magazine is claiming to have found the biological mother of MJ‘s youngest son Blanket, who was borne of an “unknown egg donor”. According to Star, Blanket‘s mother is no longer “unknown” and actually has a connection to MJ. Meet Pia Bhatti:

It was one of the biggest mysteries of Michael Jackson’s life and has lingered since his sudden death — just who is the mother of his youngest child? Now, after weeks of investigation, sources tell Star in a world exclusive that Blanket’s mom is Pia Bhatti. In our Aug. 3 issue — on sale now — we have the first photo of the one-time dental hygienist, who lives with her husband in a graffiti-riddled suburb of Oslo, Norway — miles from the glitz and glamour that surrounded the late singer — and refuses all requests for interviews. “Pia was sworn to secrecy about Blanket,” says one close Jackson source. “Michael always liked the mystique. He never wanted anyone to know the truth about any of his children.” So who brought together Michael and Pia? Her son, Omer, who dazzled Michael with his moonwalk in 1996 and became so close to the pop legend that within weeks the boy was touring with the singer. The pair often dressed alike, and for years Michael even claimed Omer was his son. No one will officially confirm that Pia is Blanket’s mom, the source continues. “But you only had to see her with Blanket. She treated him as her own for one very good reason — he is.”

I mean … coming from Star, you gotta take this report with a HUGE grain of salt. Tho, I am very intrigued by this Omer Bhatti person. MJ did have a friendship with him when he was a child and it was widely rumored that Omer was MJ‘s secret son. Could it be that MJ asked Omer‘s mother Pia to mother his child? It’s possible … but totally not provable. There’s a lot of new MJ info going around these days … for the most part, it’s mostly conjecture … but progress is being made in his death investigation. I suspect we’ll be hearing, very soon, where the investigation is centered and what (if any) charges will come from the death of Michael Jackson.
