Mariah Carey Releases A Music Video For ‘Obsessed’
"I was like ... why you so obsessed with me?"
At the end of June we saw photos of Mariah Carey on the NYC set of her new music video Obsessed (which is the first single off her new album Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel). Among those photos, we saw a couple pics of Mimi dressed as a stalker who looks a lot like Eminem (who she has previously claimed is obsessed with her but denies she is mocking in the vid). At last, the music video has been released! Here are a few screencaps from the vid:
The video is pretty straightforward … it tells the tale of Mimi being stalked by a creepy guy (who she also portrays in the video) … but there is a funny twist ending ;) After the jump, check it out in full …
I dunno what homegirl is talking about … it seems clear to me that the stalker dude she portrays in the video looks A LOT like Eminem (of the 8 Mile era). I love this song and the video is cute, tho. What do y’all think? Hot or not?

The song is horrible, but the video is amusing.

Mariah is more obsessed with herself than anyone I’ve ever seen. The video, however, is cute summer fluff. As much as I disrespect the girl, I agree it’s a good move for her publicity-wise. I am hoping to see some retaliation from Eminem … just for some fun drama-watching.

Eminem has had his day … he’s a one trick pony. Mariah being almost 40 is irrelevant – Madonna’s 50 …. Eminem is also nearing 40.
I thought the song was horrible, and the video boring. The ending was cute, but that’s it.
Where are the astounding vocals that made her famous? This song was fine, but nothing Britney couldn’t manage. I do think Nick Cannon is doing a great job on America’s Got Talent.
I just think she’s “Obsessed” with herself.
