Mariah Carey Releases A Music Video For ‘Obsessed’
"I was like ... why you so obsessed with me?"

At the end of June we saw photos of Mariah Carey on the NYC set of her new music video Obsessed (which is the first single off her new album Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel). Among those photos, we saw a couple pics of Mimi dressed as a stalker who looks a lot like Eminem (who she has previously claimed is obsessed with her but denies she is mocking in the vid). At last, the music video has been released! Here are a few screencaps from the vid:
The video is pretty straightforward … it tells the tale of Mimi being stalked by a creepy guy (who she also portrays in the video) … but there is a funny twist ending ;) After the jump, check it out in full …
I dunno what homegirl is talking about … it seems clear to me that the stalker dude she portrays in the video looks A LOT like Eminem (of the 8 Mile era). I love this song and the video is cute, tho. What do y’all think? Hot or not?

The video is actually kind of silly and childish…she looks good, and the song is catchy…but it’s clearly a diss on Em…she just set herself up for more drama because he’s only going to hit back.

the vid actually premiered last night on “America’s Got Talent” a show that her hubby Nick Cannon is hosting…it is a little dumb, the best part was when he gets hit by the bus

Well, I love the video, the song, and the whole story. I mean, what’s the point of being uber-famous if you can’t have a little fun with it? It’s not like Mariah is burning a bridge here. I think it’s probably the smartest career move she’s made in a while. The publicity is pretty killer.

I think she looks silly as a dude. And let’s face it, Mariah is all about HERSELF. More than half of the vid is her writhing around on that chaise playing with her hair. It could have been more interesting but I do think the song is catchy. Maybe Em will get a kick out of it?

I am a little disappointed. This song sounds like something Paris Hilton would sing, it didn’t show her vocals. I guess for a late summer hit it is nice. She looks great though.

Definitely hot! And very funny. I would just say that although I do see the strong Eminem connection, I think that I was most shocked to see Mimi not in heels for the first time since like 1996!

Yeah, she is wearing a push-up bra and her boobs are fake to begin with. My parents and I were watching America’s Got Talent last night and when Nick said, “Check out my wife’s brand new video, ‘Obsessed’” my stepmom was like, “Ha, yeah right. He wishes.” and I was like, “Oh no, that’s actually his wife in real life.” And she couldn’t believe it. Ahaha

Mariah is more obsessed with herself than anyone I’ve ever seen. The video, however, is cute summer fluff. As much as I disrespect the girl, I agree it’s a good move for her publicity-wise. I am hoping to see some retaliation from Eminem … just for some fun drama-watching.

Where are the astounding vocals that made her famous? This song was fine, but nothing Britney couldn’t manage. I do think Nick Cannon is doing a great job on America’s Got Talent.
